This is my go to place… good service, family run business with good prices. I can usually only go on Saturdays, so they are usually very busy but the services are top notch. I get 4 – 5WEEKS out of my gel nails. Worth it!

I got my nails done here with a group of girl friends. Nails were excellent and a month later, my pedicure is still completely intact! Nice atmosphere(bonus points for having lifetime movies on the TV! I’m not even kidding– we were all really into the story!) and very well priced services in addition to the great job they did! I’m going back this week!

I left very unsatisfied. I asked for Gel extensions 3 times but all I got was polish. And when I say all I got was polish, I mean all over my finger tips. It was a poorly executed attempt. The only positive aspect of my experience was the friendly staff.

Gel nails were perfect. Feet look and feel fab. The staff was nice and efficient. Clean store. Will definitely return.

So I am not a girly girl when it comes to my nails. I don’t make time to get pampered this way, but it was my friend’s birthday last week, and I thought, «what the hell.» I’d been wanting to try gel nails(’cause they last longer) and my pedi’s need some attention, bad. Fantasy Nail Salon is this little nail spot at the end of Harrison near the levee. Very unassuming, and if it weren’t for my friend’s sister and friends LOVING this place, I never would’ve gone in. Three of us were put into the massage-y chairs and warm bubbling spa foot bathes immediately after picking our polish colors. My friend’s mom was really into her massage chair, working out all the kinks, where as I have a very sensitive back so the regular level felt like a little midget beating the crap out of my back. Go with the kneading level on low and it’ll be perfect if you’re like me. She then went to town prepping my feet. While my friend and her mother only had to have some light buffing on their feet callouses, my little technician had to break out what looked like a cheese grater and an electric buffing saw to really make my feet look good. Whatevs. The polish I wanted on my toes was really sparkly but thin so she suggested a color under it, and they look uh-mazing for the two people who will get to see my feet this winter. Then came the gel nails: my new favorite thing. I got a dark blue color and after she painted on the coats and stuck my hands under the UV magic box thing, they were DRY! No Drying Time!!! I’m obsessed. I screw up nail jobs fairly immediately, and they were dry like THAT. Now the true test. I went to be a bystander in a duck hunt that night, and the nails made it out perfectly! The charge for the massage-y chair, foot spa bath, cheese grating, purple lotion foot massage, double nail polish on the toes, cuticle hedging, purple lotion hand massage, gel nails on fingers? $ 50. I think that’s pretty damn good. Though a line formed, the techs made quick work of getting them through. I will definitely be back for a new gel job, and hopefully the cheese grater won’t be necessary if I make this a monthly thing. ;)
