I eat Phở on a regular basis but I found this place has the freshest food hands down. There prices are more than reasonable, 6.99 for bowl with noodles at lunch time, good deal. Also the service there has always been very personalized and friendly. I will continue to eat there on a regular basis. Also every thing I ever tasted on menu was not just average but really good.

Lunch menu is $ 6.99 with about 5 Phở choices and 2 rice and meat choices. I had the latter and it was great. The smell of the meat was heavenly and the portion sizes are just enough. Our server was really amazing and I’ll be back here for lunch regularly.

Ok, so I updated the review here because I stopped by for lunch again today, and the service was continuously great. The reason I think they should be 4-start because I tried their pork rice platter today and it was delicious! However, the portion was a little too small, but food comes in small portion, right?(I think I invented that theory.) Anyway, will definitely visit more next time.

Great food, I love phở but unfortunately never learned so when I’m not home around my mom I go out to eat. I try many places but most places don’t have a good flavored broth, but here, the broth was perfect, I didn’t need to add any fish sauce for the extra flavor.

Though the menu is fairly simple, the food quality is superior! Service is also a plus! Lunch menu @ $ 6.99 is a deal and perfect for its time of day! Will definitely return and worth the try

New to the area… so still fairly slow and empty most days. Very good service and my new favorite local spot. Food is fresh, bright, and very tasty. Eating clean made easy.

Never going back. Wanted some phở on my lunch break. New to the area and decided to give it a try. Person appeared to be the owner asked for my drink order and I told her sweet tea(it was an option in the menu). She brought me non… I can get over that. But… I had to hunt someone down to get the right thing. Then… I asked for chicken phở(she said they didn’t have any today) I almost left but had already wasted 22 mins of my hour break. I order the verm noodles. After seeing another table walk out and another gentleman wait for his order while his husband had already been given his meal, I saw his order delivered. I thought it looked familiar and asked«what did you order»? He replied, CHICKENPHO. My meal was delivered, not very appetizing, noodles were very dry and starchy. I passed on most of it and drank my sweet tea instead. Oh, and at the very end I had to hunt someone down to get my check. Very disappointing. Great location for a lunch rush, however if they don’t get their act together quick they won’t be open for long.

Yummy food, inexpensive, and great service. I love their Iced Vietnamese Iced Coffee with condensed milk and so far have tried a seafood soup with rice noodles, a won-ton soup, and a combination phở and they have all been delicious. Definitely worth a visit. C:

Welcome to Elmwood park, I hope you are reading this because you need all the help you can get. Walked in and a nice place clean, big, spacious(empty). Food’s flavor is close to the other Vietnamese restaurants around here. Pros: nice friendly staff, food taste okay, very strong coffee. Cons: small portions, high prices, no differentiation to draw crowds. I didn’t find out about this place until 2 months that they opened. They did no advertising, so I’m advertising for them. The food was over priced for phở, I would rather driver farther for better phở and a cheaper price. Portions are fitting for office women, but for a man’s appetite I’ll be going to McDonald’s for a Big Mac shortly after. The food was not spectacular by any means, and this trend of charging people higher prices for cheap food is driving me nuts! This business model will fail especially when you get mediocre food. Suggestions: lower the price, increase the portions, or make your food taste amazing. If not the local public will not come back. I’ll stop by in 5 months and try it again. That’s if you guys are still around.

I’ve eaten here 5 times and each time is something amazing. Both the hot and cold dishes are fresh and delicious. Quite possibly the best Phở Tai I’ve ever had. The authenticity of the family owned establishment comes through in the great tasting food.

The service here was good the ladies that work during the day are quite nice however … There seems to be no air conditioning in the restaurant it is very very stuffy/hot I couldn’t sit there and have a full meal … I decided to take my order to go as it was completely empty at 5:30pm. The décor could use a loving touch it was thrown together, the air conditioning is non existent. The outside of the restaurant makes it seem like the inside would be chic but unfortunately it is anything but. The Vietnamese coffee I ordered was served in a small To-go cup. It wasn’t filled to the top rather the middle. Not only that but it was only chicory with condensed milk it wasn’t authentic at all I could’ve bought a large iced chicory for the same price or cheaper. The two entrees I ordered were the grilled pork chop with rice and the beef phở… The porkchop was very thick(which I’m sure some would find great) it was bone in but very tough which told me it was defrosted quickly and cooked quickly. I believe if they used the thin sliced pork chops that other Vietnamese restaurants use they would’ve not only tasted better but been more tender. It also took 30 minutes or more to prepare which leaves me to believe it was defrosted while I was there it had that taste of being partially cooked before actually getting cooked. The portion of rice was quite small and the rice was old it wasn’t fresh it was dry as if it had been left over in the fridge or rice cooker too long. The phở… The broth was delicious the meat was partially cooked before adding the broth(which I’ve never seen at any other place) so it again had that funny taste to it as if it had been microwaved or thawed in hot water it also was white and brown no it’s not the fat it was white like it was old which made my stomach turn and I didn’t finish the bowl at all. To open a business in a prime spot like this one it should be competitive to other dining places in the area which it isn’t. It is a prime example of what rushing into a business looks like. People all too often get in over their heads. I hope the décor gets freshened up as well as the food. Also fix that air conditioning it’s only May and the summer is upon us. I only put two stars because the staff was very sweet, otherwise it would’ve been one … I don’t know what the gentlemen below me orders he claims they are fresh and delicious … Unfortunately my experience wasn’t.

I got the chargrilled pork vermicelli. The pork was cold, fatty and tasted bad. For a new restaurant, it failed in my eyes.
