After watching the McDonalds propaganda video on the McRib I had to get one. It was excellent. It was far more meaty than I remember as a child and didn’t have the rubbery texture I remember from the past. The sauce was as always excellent on a toasted roll, who could ask for anything more. The McRib remains one of the few items I have ever enjoyed at The Mick.

After a long LONG day running around the French Quarter and watching parades we got in the car, slowly crawled through traffic and mobs of people in the street only to discover we had not drank enough WATER during the day and I forgot to leave my water bottle in the car. We saw the arches way up the road and knew we had to get there before one of us expired from dehydration.
The lines were long but the iced tea here is super good, nothing bitter about it, as most Mc D’s have that issue. So props to them for good tea and friendly service.

Best in the city. Food is always the appropriate temperature. And the taste is classic McDonald’s.
