An absolute delight located in Canal Place! I happened to be in the Coach store and the young lady that was assisting me with my Coach purchase had on a beautiful necklace from which she purchased from Mignon Faget! At that point I had to have it! I walked across to Mignon Faget — described the necklace to the sales lady and poof it was mine! The store is beautifully organized and the sales staff is very knowledgable! Truly a hidden gem in NOLA!

We stumbled across this store one rainy morning this week. The store is set up almost like a giant jewelry box. You open each of the drawers as you are browsing. We found two bracelets we really, really liked. Fortunately they weren’t super expensive and we could afford to buy both. The clerk was friendly and explained how the product was made. She wasn’t super pushing as some jewelry clerks are. She let you look around and ask questions on your time schedule not her’s. Great experience overall.

I bought a gift for a friend here recently and I was very impressed with how helpful the staff was. The entire experience was pleasant and I loved that wrapping with a bow and a card wasn’t extra. I love good customer service.

Bought a ring for my wife on Dec. 15 for our New Year’s day anniversary. The ring turned out to be a little tight. The manager is the one who served me at this location. I explained to her that I live out of state and would it be a problem to exchange via mail. She said, «no» so I made the purchase. I mailed the ring back for an exchange on Jan. 2 via priority mail with tracking confirmation to the attention of the manager. I called the manager to confirm that I was mailing the ring for an exchange and she confirmed that it was in stock at the store. The delivery date was Jan. 4, the manager said it was delivered on Jan. 7. I don’t the think the USPS would give false details about delivery. I waited until Jan. 9 to contact her via phone to find out when the ring was being delivered. Then, I got the song and dance about they had the ring in stock, but sold the last one in size 9 at that store and requested one from another store. Guess what? That store sold that one miraculously too. In the end, the ring was not mailed until Jan. 15 with a delivery date of Jan. 17. The quality of jewelry gets 4 stars. The service gets 0 stars for the run around. One review states that Mignon Faget is comparable to Tiffany’s. Mignon Faget can’t hold a candle to Tiffany’s when it comes to customer service. Mignon Faget may think they are the Tiffany’s of Louisiana. I will probably not buy anymore jewelry from Mignon Faget since service has been an issue in the past.

Exquisite! Any special someone is going to be all gaga over a piece from iconic jewelry designer Mignon Faget, so take note holiday shoppers! You know how sometimes designers seem to rest on their laurels and produce some very average pieces but because their name is on it, everyone wants it anyway and you’re just left scratching your head as to why. Well, Mignon Faget is just the opposite of that. Every single piece is lovely and special. There’s everything from more conservative(though never boring) pieces to bold statement pieces. Which leads me to the HIVE collection. Color me slightly obsessed. I can’t stop looking at the rings and bracelets(those cuffs!!!) I think I love every single bit of it. Santa, baby, I hope you’re reading this!

If you want a souvenir from A Famous New Orleans jeweler(she has other items as well) that EVERYONE recognizes, choose Mignon Faget, I have received compliments on my Fleur Di Lis and Turtle shell ring every where I go(Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Florida, New York) from men even. Yes items are expensive but well known and durable, I have had my rings for 8 years. Tip of the day — Check out eBay there are no fakes of Mignon Faget so whatever you buy will be authentic and heavily discounted.

i’m very familiar with this store and their products. i’ve gotten various pieces /products from here over the years, and recently got 2 pieces over the holidays. while i generally think their jewelry is overpriced, my issue is with the customer service. there’s a woman named gayle at the uptown store who needs a serious attitude adjustment, especially for someone in sales. she’s rude, snooty, kind of nasty, and unprofessional. there was no issue — this is just how she is. by the time i had to deal with her, money had already been spent. otherwise, i would’ve taken my business somewhere else.

A New Orleans jewelry designer, very«in» with the locals. I’ve received numerous compliments for my pieces when I travel, as well. The jewelry is predominately sterling silver, though some of the styles can be purchased in gold. Many of the lines are sleek and classic, often using semi-precious stones. Those make pretty good additions to a conservative classic wardrobe. I particularly love their rings and pendants. This is pretty much where I focus my MF purchases. They have some funkier lines that include the«snowcones» and the seashell inspired line. They have some pendants that look like classic toolboxes(although called«shotguns») or cinder blocks. An interesting design, but I personally like my funky to jewelry to be big and clunky, which this is not. Their biggest drawback is their cost. They are overpriced. I have friends who steer clear solely for that reason. I’m willing to pay a little bit more because of the quality and reputation. Though, with some of their recent releases, the cost is so high, it’s a non-starter for me.

A local designer that make high-end jeweler and other goods, such as candles. I checked out her merchandise in hopes of finding a unique keepsake from my trip. I was greeted by a really talkative saleswoman. She walked me around to cabinet to cabinet to peruse their selections. It really wasn’t my style though.

Jewelry for all those local private school girls. They come in droves wanting to try on everything and buy nothing. These girls leave it up to their parents or boyfriends to do that for them. Aside from that, Mignon is a local jeweler from the New Orleans area who hails from 5 generations of doctors. She didnt pursue anything in that area as we can all guess. Her collections are coveted by many and mothers and daughters find themselves adding to their wishlist for the holidays from the larget collection of jewelry that’s inspired from many of New Orleans landmarks. For example, her Romanesque collection comes from the Richardson library. The Beaded ring, the double-half rounded ring are just a few. What about her famous sea collection that has many falling in love with the tortoise rings, garden snail ring, and the oyster pendants. Come one and come all to your local Mignon store. There are several located around the city. Lakeside, Cana Place, Magazine, and one in Baton Rouge.

Think Tiffany’s: but way more reasonable. And tons more unique. How I heart Mignon Faget jewlery, and can’t even classify myself as an afficianado, as I only own 2 elegant, yet simple pieces she has created. Still, how can one not fall in love with their necklaces? One of my favorites has tiny rice pearls and a silver shaped bean, and it means so much to me because I got it as a graduation gift. You cannot sum up the essence of New Orleans with anything more beautiful. She also designs a fabulous Oak tree branch ring with acorn on it. The sterling silver lily lariat would be a dream come true as a gift. I am dying for a sterling silver, flora charm bracelet and a tulip pendant(only 55 dollars)! If the man of my dreams(a la, boyfriend) got me said coveted set, I would not only be swooning but I’d marry him on the spot. Seriously. The only designs of her I find slightly cliché are her fleur de lis ones. And who has the bling to afford her gold stuff? These reasons explain the loss of one star. Fun fact: Mignon Faget was a former homecoming queen at her university alma mater. This could perhaps explain the history of her being a cherished designer.
