It’s Radio Shack. A dying breed of electronics store that is small, yet a chain. I remember going to the Shack as a kid with my father for whatever electronic item he was looking for, as this is where people would go before the big box stores became dominant in our culture. I came to this location a couple of years ago when I decided to give up my cell phone service under a big carrier and downgrade to a prepaid service. When I called this store, they seemed knowledgeable about different services. It was a quick and easy in and out. I was pleased with the service, but am afraid for their lack of adaptability. I don’t see how they(the chain, not this particular location) have lasted in this day and age and be so out of the loop. I know they have filed bankruptcy, but they still seem to have a faint heartbeat, and this location is still open. I am impressed. Maybe a good dose of CPR will be able to help them.

The sales people were not very helpful. I was pretty annoyed at the super loud music playing while trying to find a needle in a hay-stack. I’ll go to the Radio Shack on Carrollton next time since the guys that work there are more helpful

This one is just like every other Radio Shack you have ever been to any where. I just wanted it to come up on the map the next time someone was looking for the closest one. It is in the strip mall near the corner of Gentilly Blvd. and Elysian Fields.
