What a friendly staff! This review is actually long overdue because they took care of a framing need of mine over a year ago.
I had a print that I needed matted and framed. After shopping around and deciding exactly what I wanted I needed, I ended up here. It wasn’t really a difficult frame job: I needed an 8×10 photo matted into a 11×14 frame. After picking the exact frame and matting that I needed, the staff was quick in helping me put it all together. I actually think that you can just buy the frame and mat and do it yourself, but I like to leave this kind of thing to professionals. The result was a perfectly framed picture that I now have hanging on my wall.
Sterling also sells a wide variety of unique prints, especially «Louisiana themed» prints such as pictures of birds, swamps and water scenes. Any of the lovely prints sold here would make a great gift.

This is an elite operation. I’ve had several pieces framed here and every single one has come out amazing. I would say that I am not the ideal patron as I always bring in pieces with no real vision for how I want them framed. The owner, Dara, is a saint and works with me every step up of the way finding the perfect frame and style for each piece no matter how simple or sophisticated. On top of that, Dara is always conscious of my cost parameters and helps me get the best bang of my buck. She has an incredible eye and pays very close attention to detail. I am very grateful to have found this shop and will be going back for all my framing needs. Thank you and see you soon!

Dara the owner is the most pleasant and knowledgeably creative framer I have worked with in the past 30 years, of hanging personal art in my home for our salon. She has a very large selection of modern, contemporary and old framing to create a piece worthy of hanging.

Great frame studio located in a very walkable neighborhood of Magazine Street in New Orleans. I’ve had several pieces done here. They all came out excellent and the recommendations here are always top notch. I would recommend it to any friend.

I am SO incredibly happy with all of the service I’ve been getting from Dara at Sterling Frame Studio that I wanted to add it in and be the first to review! Dara is so great. Her prices are amazing — most recently I paid $ 100 for a black frame and protective matte for a 32×24 photo collage that had been made for me, and I’ve gotten other great deals as well. She will spend all the time in the world with you trying different frame samples and helping you figure out what would look best. And her service and turnaround time are also GREAT — she’ll call you as soon as she’s done and honestly, I’ve never had her take more than 48 hours to complete a project… and not only THAT but the last time I wanted to come in, I called after 6 and she was already closed, but cheerfully told me she was still there, so why didn’t I just come by? And then proceeded to take another 20 minutes with me figured out what I wanted for my frame. SOOOOOO much better than anything you will find at Corners or any of the other big, ripoff framing superstores. Try her if you can!
