Tami is a fantastic artist and my wife and I own a couple of pieces of her artwork. So I decided to purchase a gift of 4 art lessons for my wife for Christmas. My wife was thrilled and very excited to begin her lessons quickly. While Tami is a great artist and maybe teacher, she is very unorganized and flaky. She blew my wife off for two months on why she couldn’t start her art lessons. Then when she finally arranged to start the lessons, she forgot about the first lesson, cancelled two others with short notice and then stood her up for another lesson. My wife finally has to cancelled her art lessons with Tami because she was so frustrated and disappointed. We did get a quick refund for half of the lessons at least.
Tami’s art is great and she is a very sweet person, but beware if you want to purchase lessons.

A friend saw her art at a local event and purchased a Mr. Bingle piece for me so I ahd to find her studio and see more… turns out she’s in the pop up space behind Miss Smartypants. Easy-​peasy.
I stopped in to peruse her wares and was super excited by the old theater seats completely painted with images of Louis Armstrong along with song lyrics. STUNNING! If only I had room and $$ for such a purchase.
She sells originals and prints with lots of NOLA local flavor. Definitely a great spot to peruse for something new for your house or a gift. And I love my Mr. Bingle
