Snowball Shmoball! Give me some icecream! In a place where snowballs are the summer treat, finding a good icecream shop has been a challenge. There are the Baskin’ Robins and the Cold Stones, but their icecream is inferior and frankly, not worth the calories. I’ve driven up and down Oak Street more times than I remember and never stopped at this unassuming little shop. When I finally did, I wish I had gone long before… A good variety of flavors to choose from and some unique ones I have never seen. The server/scooper was friendly and chatty, and the prices great. I don’t know what brand of icecream they use but it is deliciously creamy. I’m surprised there isnt a line out the door at this place!

This is a small yet cute place to get a scoop or two of Kleinpeter Ice Cream. Very sweet girl behind the counter gave me a sample when I too was undecided. I got the bananas foster scoop. Husband got the sweet potato pie double scoop. I will continue to visit this locally owned and operated new business on Oak Street. I nice ending to a meal across the street at tru Burger.

Yesterday was my first visit to The Adventure Ice Cream. I met Zoe and soon found out that she and her dad(owner of Oak St. Café), just opened this place. The ice cream is from Kleinpeter because they do not give their cows growth hormones. She was extremely nice and gave us samples to try when I couldn’t figure out which flavor to choose. If you have a sweet tooth, come see Zoe!
