Its pretty good. Service is good and food is tasty and fresh. Had the carne asada with flour tortillas, rice and beans. All had good flavor with no complaints. Salsa is very good with a different twist and is not like most. Bar menu is a good offering of south of the border beer. Little on the pricy side but its only money and you cant take it with you. This is about my 6th visit and I will be back.

A great find on a pretty restaurant-sparse stretch of highway! We stopped in for lunch while passing through town. The portions were generous, the owners were very friendly… more importantly, the food was tasty and certainly a surprise in such a remote little town!

Traveling through, we just wanted to chow down and relax for a bit before hitting the road and we stumbled across this place. It was perfect! Immaculately clean and wonderful heartfelt service, we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Our young children loved the courtyard to stretch out after a long car ride and the pristine bathroom had a baby changing station. We are very impressed!

Wonderful place to eat! Food was excellent, service was quick and efficient and the drinks did the trick! Been visiting La Pine for the past 25 years and this is by far one of the best places. Highly recommend coming here if you like Mexican food.

We arrived famished and late on our way back from Crater Lake. The owners were gracious enough to stay open for us and feed our large group a delicious meal. The food was just right, the salsa was amazing, there were many options and price ranges, and the ambiance was relaxing and friendly. Even the bathrooms were cute and clean. Our hosts were so kind and accommodating. Gracias!

It’s OK. It’s Mexican food for Oregonians, ya know? Good enough to hit the spot but I definitely wouldn’t be making the trip back just to eat here. Kudos to the older gentleman working though, who made special nachos for our kids and was so pleasant as a server. He gets 5 stars!

The service was amazing! They were extremely polite and friendly giving us free refills of chips and salsa and always refilling our water. The food was really pretty fabulous as well and the menu was extensive! Well priced and worth the stop!

Can’t give an accurate rating so will go in between. Heard rave reviews from friends. Sadly we got there at 8:20pm and doors were locked but people were still inside. We will give it a try next time we are driving thru central Oregon.

This place is truly great for any size of town but that it’s in LaPine, Oregon makes it an amazing find! Someone previous had written that it wasn’t very clean but I completely disagree(and I’m a bonafide germaphobe.) The bathrooms look newly renovated and very clean. The restaurant was tidy and you could see into the kitchen and from what I could see, it was clean and well organized. Highway 97 is a lonely patch of road! If you like Mexican food, don’t miss this oasis!

The food is ok. I’ve had worse. Tiny place. The waitress was funny and nice. Just felt like it wasn’t very clean.

Traveling through La Pine on Cinco De Mayo, we searched for a Unilocal review that would take us to a great place. Boy, is this place it! We shared a triple combo of a taco, chimichanga and enchilada. Each one had a different meat, each was perfectly cooked, and distinct from the other two. The owners are super friendly and funny, too. Highly recommend!

The owner of Los 3 Caballons was incredibly welcoming and gracious during our last visit even though he was, technically, trying to close up shop for the evening to tackle some repairs. As we were walking up, he was flipping the ‘Closed’ sign but, saw us looking warn out and hungry from a long drive and rushed us right in. He noted they had a limited menu because they were trying to close which was fine by us because we had the most delicious shredded beef quesadillas EVER. With a margarita on the side, our meal couldn’t have be more delightful. We’re looking forward to heading back!

Nestled in the heart of La Pine, this little gem was just what I needed! Salsa was great! Carne Asada was perfect! Outside patio seating is amazing on warm days! Definitely will be coming back as I travel through!!!

This place is a surprising gem in the middle of nothing! Cute and clean inside. Owner/staff all friendly and very competent. And the food was wonderful. We will be back regularly. So I said they don’t have outside seating and it isn’t good for groups, but they have a huge patio so if the weather is nice, groups would be great outside.

What a sweet nugget hidden in this tiny town. Very loud and friendly atmosphere from families to local workers. I was pleasantly surprised with a variety of salsas with our chips. Excellent guacamole and huge portions for a great price. The servers were right on and friendly. I would like to try more menu items and would definitely return.

I love this place. The food is consistently good. Had the prawns diablo and fish tacos and i would recommend them both. Just perfect. Great homemade salsa too with roasted peppers. The problem is that it makes me eat the entire bowl of chips! Lastly this is probably the cleanest restaurant i have ever eaten in.

Los tres caballos José and his 5th wife let us come into their restaurant close to closing time. Not only was the place spotless and comfy, but the service and friendliness was overwhelmingly perfect. We had awesome margaritas, burritos, tacos, and a just what we needed stop by experience. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the area.

Great place to grab a bite during our frequent travels. The service is very fast and friendly. We both liked the salsa, it seemed to have been made from roasting/blackening the tomatoes first, then blending. They informed us they make the chips from scratch, which is awesome. I enjoyed my tamale and chimichanga, my husband cleaned his plate of burrito(it was huge!). Worth stopping in if you’re in LaPine at meal time.
