Pleasant environment for reading, studying & relaxing. Brightly lit. One floor only. Spacious area. February 2013, there’s a bit of outside construction in the parking lot, seems not to interrupt the parking flow. There’s a walking track behind the library, enticing for day dreaming. Friendly staff.

I love when people know my name. I am here at least three days out the week(no library card is needed) they know me. The librarians are knowledgeable, well versed, and amicable. There are several study rooms available along with three lectures rooms where seminars are held. There are computers for patrons and free wifi. The children’s reading corner is great for moms and dads and there is a large selection of juvenile literature. Sometimes I ll read outside sitting on one of the rocking chairs while breathing in a light zephyr. I often wonder why blockbuster is still open when one can check out a dvd for free here and keep it for three weeks, and this place has a wide variety of movies. I can read all the magazines I want; no need for a monthly subscription. Studious is how I feel when I leave here. Some say Disney World is the greatest place on earth for me it’s the library.

This is a lovely library and a good anchor to the St. John Parish library system. The staff is very helpful, and there is a very nice selection of books and materials that surpasses most expectations for a rural/suburban library. Copies are only 10 cents, which is becoming a rarity this day and age.
