Just brought home some ribs from this place. I am never a picky eater when it comes to BBQ but these things are horrible. I’m not even sure if the ribs ever saw the inside of a smoker. The Mac and cheese and coleslaw are very bland. My wife got a pork sandwich which was mediocre. Very disappointed in this place and will never visit again.

Really inconsistent, sometimes the ribs are really good some days really bad, last rack was dry and over cooked. When the meat is cooked to the point it is shriveling on the bones. thinking you should toss em not sell them

Great family business in Siuthern Md. The only negative thing about this place is the BBQ sauce. If they can find a better sauce it would be awesome. I’m glad they don’t put it on the meat but rather you get it on the side. The ribs have a pretty good rub. The chicken is really tasty and what I like best. I’m glad they are keeping up the good work and continuing the family tradition.

The BBQ ribs are good. They were seasoned will and had crispy tops. The pork chops and chicken were ok. Nothing special. I’m not sure what I think of the minced pork. It’s edible. No big whoop. I don’t really care for their BBQ sauce. However, I came home and doctored it up by adding some seasoning, Dijon mustard, worcestshire, brown sugar, balsamic, molasses and cayenne peppers. I asked for potato salad, but got cole slaw. That too was ok. The baked beans were plain. It was like straight from the can, with nothing added but sugar. The workers were friendly. I’ll go there again because it’s close. I wouldn’t drive out of the way for it though.

5 stars… no hesitation. Been in Waldorf for 8 years and I’m just now hearing about this place. Absolutely delicious! Juicy, flavorful ribs that have that slight crunch on the outside. Ribs so good you don’t even need the sauce. Smoked pork chops tasted like bacon and everybody loves bacon. Mac and cheese… not too many places have good Mac and cheese. Most are decent but this Mac and cheese was cooked by that old church mother and shipped up from North Carolina. I make some good Mac and cheese at home but I’m willing to surrender my Mac and cheese for this one. Food was so good I had to call my momma and tell her to come over and taste. The family was very happy after this meal.

Got the Indian man platter today for a friend! So much good food for a family feast! The kids just loved the plain smoked Chicken as is, no sauce required, perfectly juicy smoky chicken to hit the spot at lunch after a fishing outing nearly.

I was brought here by a co-worker saying how good it is. I come from a BBQ city, so I’m always skeptical about trying a new one. As far as the sandwich, they use minced pork. I’ve never experienced that before, and won’t again. Definitely not my favorite. My friend had the chicken, and it was not bad. It’s a shame they don’t have a spicy BBQ sauce, but the sauce they do have is good. I want to come back and try their ribs, and I will update this review when I have. I did like the outdoor seating and the ambiance it has. The prices weren’t too bad either. I will give it one more chance.

Been coming here for several years now and it never disappoints. Only when I get there late and they’ve maybe run out of something. They have a great recipe for ribs and chicken. Green beans and coleslaw are always my go-to sides. Sauce is good. Can’t beat the prices. Go here, you won’t be sorry.

The best ribs and pork chop sandwich around. Out in the woods of S. Maryland but well worth the trip. Don’t expect a restaurant. Walk in and roll out. Gonna be hard to make it home without stopping on the side of the road. Its just that good. Sides are awesome too.

A review for this place is way overdue, the bbq is so awesome u will need a lemon to bring ur jaw back to normal. The jewel of the DMV area this place is far better than Johnny boys or Leftys(sic). It is in charles county so its a hike for most people but absolutely worth the trip. The ribs are lip smacking good, chicken grilled just right, and the sauce immaculate. They do have other items on their menu but those are the main attractions. I suggest getting the sauce on the side so u can use it later on other stuff. For example, got some veggies at home that aren’t tasting right just dip that sauce on it, u have some tofu that needs a kick drizzle some of that sauce on it and wa la magic. T n Js is an outdoor rib shack so don’t expect any fancy presentation just food in Styrofoam with some bread. Really I think that’s all u need. One last tip, hours are kinda iffy but the best times to go are early on the weekends before they run out which is common to happen.

This is a barbeque(Bar-B-Q) joint! This place is good! This is not a «sit down» restaurant, strictly cash & go! There are some very good BBQ joints in the DC metro area, and this is one of them! So, if you feel like leaving the city and getting out into So. MD, this is a good place to go! Chicken, Ribs and Pork chops! You can get single orders, dinners for two or dinners for a family! Pricing is cheap also! I believe it’s called T&J 2nd generation BBQ!
