Very good place to stop for a quick bite. Tacos are delicious (and a special on Tuesday!) The salsa bar is the true gem though. Pineapple is delicious, spicy and sweet all at once. I also flipped over the great guacamole (mine with jalapeños wasn’t too spicy but well balanced and full of flavor.) I will definitely be coming back and telling friends. Also, they have Coke on fountain, which is a lifesaver and a game changer for me (whereas other places serve only Pepsi.) All around an awesome place.

I have been going since it first opened. Great authentic Mexican food. In my opinion, the best in LaPorte. The pineapple salsa is a must try! They have a great selection of homemade salsas.
You can’t go wrong with the Mexican hamburger or chorizo quesadillas.

Excellent tacos and a really great selection of salsa. This is authentic and the ownership and staff are extremely «frenly». Will definitely visit whenever we’re in La Porte.

If you normally order steak tacos, give the steak quesadillas a try. Hardworking owner.

The tacos are good. But the salsa is amazingly good. There’s the basic red and green (the red is the best). But the pistachio, peanut, pineapple and mango are all really good. The tamales are great. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I so much wanted to like this place. Small hole in the wall locally owned place. But the limited menu and lack of my favorites and Maria’s was a turn off. There was hardly any choices when it can to burritos (I REALLY wanted a wet burrito) and no enchiladas at all. I ordered a steak taco and I assumed it would of come in a hard shell. Nope, it came in a soft corn tortilla. While flour tortilla is available for the tacos the hard shell is not available. My fault for not asking how the taco was served? Maybe. But should the waitress ask which way I wanted it? Probably. Maria had a taco con lingua and she said it was good.
Salsa is in a squirt bottle and is very watery.

Went back again and the tacos and guacamole were not as good as the first time. The onions tasted very old and strong and it ruined the taste of the guacamole and the taco, even though I scraped the onions off the taco.

Worst Steak taco and tripe taco I have ever had .Wife and I ended up throwing the rest away, and ordering our go to in laporte-​Muchos Mas. The meat was overcooked, dry, with no flavor except the excessive amount of onion and cilantro. A horrible example of authentic mexican food.
