Definitely a nice little lunch spot to go to. Came around 11:00/11:10 and it wasn’t super packed, only about ¾ people in front of me but as soon as I ordered and sat down there were probably about 10⁄11 people and it had only been 8 minutes since I walked in! I can see why though, the atmosphere when you walk through the door has a very modern urban feel to it which is great for the simplicity of the meals! I’m a bigger guy so for my first Time I ordered the«Good Olé Boy» with double/extra meat, cost me about 4 bucks more which is maybe a little bit steep but it was well worth it. Total with the sandwich + chips + bottled water + taxes was probably about 14 bucks not too shabby for the quality. Sandwich was very well made and fresh, mine particularly came with lettuce, tomato, Dijon mustard and i think mayonnaise? Nonetheless I was really satisfied, slap some tabasco on there with some jalapeño chips and you’re all set! Seriously Recommend this place for lunch(since they’re only open from 10:30 — 3:00) will be coming back soon to try more sandwiches and maybe some of their in-house sweet tea!

I’m still eating my Gobbler as I post this. Pretty darn good! I know people are thinking«how can anyone screw up a sandwich»? Well they can and do at other places. Typically not enough of something you want — meat, cheese or veggies. The swiss cheese on my Gobbler is larger than the bread and the bread is pretty big. It’s not thin sliced or processed swiss either. The turkey on this sandwich was about an inch thick and they weren’t stingy with the fresh tomatoes. The sandwiches are about $ 7 each, but you get a side of your choice with it. I’m not a big fruit cup person, but the inclusion of some healthy sides is always a good thing. Star #4 has to be that I saw a friendly face there — a previous manager of the Bullritos next to this, one who knew me by name. I asked her if this is owned by the same people and yes, it is. I have to say I’m more of a fan of Russell Ybarra, even if he no longer plays an active role in his businesses, than I am of Tillman. So this is definitely another hit for LaPorte and Deer Park! I’ll definitely be back some time to try«the Yankee»!

1. I am a huge fan of the Good Ol Boy sandwich; however, they need to stop wrapping toasted sandwiches in plastic! 2. The website needs a complete overhaul — not at all user friendly for placing orders.

I’m going to give 5 stars just because this is the only restaurant in the area that offers healthier choices… 100% natural, nitrate free with no MSG or high fructose corn syrup(HFCS) is listed on the menu — I’m guessing this applies to the deli meat. However, there is some question as to the bread and fruit being«natural». I got the Gobbler, with bacon added, which is the turkey sandwich on regular whole wheat bread. The contents of the sandwich were very fresh and good but the bread was basic loaf wheat bread you get at the grocery store. The fruit was kind of hard, not too ripe… and I doubt organic. Unsweet tea was very fresh. I’ll definitely be back! A few recommendations to the owners: better bread for sandwiches, organic fruit and tea and add organic smoothies to the menu. I would live there! Great job though so far

I have eaten here several times and I’ve never had a bad meal. Terrific sandwiches and great salads. The only drawback for me are the hours, I can’t get here often enough.

Just ate here for the first time. Get in line to order and pay at the counter and give them your name. Serve yourself drinks. When your food is ready they call your name. Service was quick and the food was great. The décor is very nice but seating is limited– a lot of people order to-go. I found our table was annoying because you could not get your knees under it due to its construction. That’s a pet peeve of mine. My friend did not like the steel chairs although there were only a few of them. I had the pick 2 with salad and soup. I chose this because the Classic Salad was the only vegetarian salad on the menu. I would love to see more vegetable-only salads or, even a vegetarian sandwich offered. They have all the good ingredients so why not(?)… they did have pimento cheese but that’s not exactly healthy. That’s why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. All in all, this is a great lunch spot that was much needed in this area. I definitely recommend.

First time to try. Thanks to Unilocal for showing pointing it out. Staff seems really friendly and were helpful explaining the options that are available. The sandwiches were really good(diplomat) and respectfully priced. I even brought one back for a coworker that was stuck in a meeting. They enjoyed their lunch too. I will have to visit again and try more of the selections.

I really enjoyed the Colonel sandwich and ceasar salad that I had. I didn’t enjoy the excessive packaging that was used. Especially since there was not a place to recycle the items. if eating in, there is no need for a plastic wrapper around the sandwich. I am assuming that most of the items are pre made and this is the reason for the packaging.

New and clean with good customer service. However, very expensive. I have visited several times and have only tried the chicken salad sandwich on croissant and the good olé boy with chips & fruit. Though delicious, hard to splurge on when you think of how inexpensive a sandwich and small cup of fruit should be. Wish they had a variety of kettle chips and perhaps A drink that comes with it instead of buying it separately.

The LunchBox is really convenient for me from where I work so I stop here almost every time I don’t bring a lunch. They offer no GMO, gluten free, sandwiches(I always have the gobbler), fruit cups, macaroni salad, fresh lemonade and brewed tea. They also have one flavor(original) of kettle chips and a few different bottled drinks to chose from. The atmosphere is cute and the service is always very nice.

Great place to grab lunch! They got all the essentials– really good sandwiches, salads, and soups. It has a hip atmosphere inside too. This place is something La Porte has totally been needing. I’ll be hittin’ up the Lunchbox from now on.

I’m not sure how to feel about this place. If you’re going to do sandwiches and charge seven or eight bucks for them you need to do them exceptionally. I’ve now been twice and I can’t decide if The Lunch Box makes the price of admission worth it. The first sandwich I had was pretty awesome. I opted for the French dip with chips and some unsweetened tea, the bill came out to be a tad over ten bucks. The roast beef was perfectly cooked, pink and still moist, it did not seem like deli roast beef. It also had caramelized onions which were awesome and some melted cheese, the roll was freshly baked and toasted which did a great job of holding the sandwich together. My one complaint was that they wrapped a warm sandwich in plastic, which produced condensation which made some parts of the sandwich a tad moist. If we were going off of my first visit I’d give the experience four stars, the sandwich was really good but the price was a tad high in my opinion and the plastic wrapping was not the best idea for a hot sandwich. My second experience was less great. I wanted some soup and a sandwich and I’d heard great things about the cheesy chicken noodle. I’ll start with the soup because it was easily the best part of the meal, the soup was cheesy and hardy with lots of chicken, noodles, and large cut fresh veggies. I asked for and paid for a bowl but I’m pretty sure I got a cup, if that was their bowl then I think the price is a little high. Now onto my sandwich. I ordered the club sandwich this time around and I wasn’t very impressed. To start off with it comes with dijon mayo, not being a huge fan of mayo I asked if they had some honey mustard they could put on it, they did in form of honey mustard dressing which was fine, issue was they didn’t hold the mayo like I asked. Other than that the club was very medicore, the lunch meat was pretty standard, the bacon was good and fresh but it wasn’t what I would consider a seven or eight dollar sandwich. I’ll definitely be back because the French dip was fantastic and I would also like to try their Cuban but I’ll be steering clear of any sandwiches made with deli meat as they’re nothing special. Decent place for lunch and I hope they make it but I don’t think it will be in my normal lunch rotation.

Need a place for lunch? Try the Lunch Box. The food is good, the prices reasonable. The portions are excellent. I was surprised to see such a crowd considering they JUST opened. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is kept clean.
