I wish I can give this place 3.5 stars. Straight to the point: Pros — probably one of the best shrimp cocktails I’ve had… Probably the best shrimp taco I’ve had… Pretty damn good fish tacos… Cons — the surrounding area of this location is super sketchy. I don’t feel comfortable picking up food on my own here, because guys around here just love to cat call and harass girls. I literally won’t come here unless my boyfriend is with me. The prices are also not fast-food prices(ex. $ 13 for a large shrimp cocktail), but to be fair, their food doesn’t taste like a fast food restaurant either. All in all… Try to find yourself a better location, and when you do, JUSTTRYIT!

Burnt ass frijoles, 90% batter 10% shrimp. Very inconsistent w quality. Too bad. Went last sat night to go sent out my teen daughter who was getting weird stares from the frijole lady. She knew they were serving burnt frijoles for a bean and cheese burrito. Asada is extremely salty. Before they would cook a batch of meat w/o salt.

Fish tacos? I’m not sure I’ve had any. . not any good ones anyway. . or not anything memorable… Hawaii is not known for Mexican cuisine. . So… I trust my friend, Chel, with my life. I have no idea where we are in LA. For sure, it’s not Rodeo Drive or a fancy place.. I don’t ask questions I just follow her, then inhale and savor… I don’t have to drive or find parking since she’s driving! We’re just there.. sitting at a table outside of a taco stand with a roof and four walls… watching the traffic pass by… very real, authentic, and cool experience! We get 3 fish tacos(and a Horchata for me)… oh wow! The fish is lightly breaded and a bit crisp. The fish is tender and moist — very fresh. Thanks, Chel, for a happy memory and a yummy lunch!

A small little fishing village down in Baja California is where I tried my first fish taco. San Felipe, oh the memories of crispy beer battered fish that is caught daily with roasted peppers to go along side, Whoa!.I thought I would never find that same taste until I found this hole out of the wall spot. Yes other people have their take on this but i personally think it comes pretty close. Ive tried the burritos and Campenchanas and they’re decent. The main attraction here is the fish tacos and people actually wait in the scorching heat for these goodies. Parking is tight but worth the time to stand in line. Nice rhythm, any who the fish tacos are must here but I would not recommend them to go if you live far. They have a covered patio so you can dine non alfresco.

Came here like 10 mins before they closed. We ordered about 20 tacos(dick move) but we were hungry!!! LOL Nonetheless the Fish and shrimp Baja style taco is the business. The steak taco was whatever standard. The salsa was also delicious what makes this spot cool too is theyre pretty fast with getting your order out. Might be too because they wanted to go home but Hey we still ate hahaha.

Seriously one of the best taco places I have ever tried. Customer service was excellent, staff was really nice, and the food came out quick. Al pastor was full of flavor and their carne asada was tender and delicious. Next time I would come and try out their fish and shrimp taco! It looked bomb af when my friends ordered it.

Quintessential Fish Taco. I have other faves I go to, but since I work less than 1 mile from here, this is one of the only places I constantly visit. Downsides: The wait. Probably means its not sitting under a heatlamp; which is good! The Inside. Tiny, cramped but fortunately taken up by the condiments bar. Most of the seating is outdoor. Deliciousness will set you back about 12 bucks for 3 or so Tacos.

This place has significantly gone down in quality over the years. Today, I ordered a 12-pack of shrimp tacos for the family. My brother began complaining that his taco had too much batter. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that each taco contained only one shrimp. ONE!!! The trick is, they cut the shrimp in half and then batter the shit out of it to make it look fat. That is unacceptable in my opinion. Done with this restaurant chain. Next time I get the craving for Baja-style tacos, I’ll make the drive to Tacos Baja in Whittier. We called back and spoke with the manager regarding our dissatisfaction. He said one shrimp per taco is standard. Oh well. If you don’t mind paying almost $ 3.00 for 1 split shrimp and a mouthful of mushy batter, knock yourself out.

Can’t believe I just found out about this place D: Was craving some mexican food and found El Taco Nazo on Unilocal.Since it was only 2 minutes driving time away, I came here today for a quick lunch. There was no line when I got there. but after I ordered, people started coming in and soon there was a line out the door. This place is popular! I got the carne asada taco, fish taco, and a fish ceviche tostada. I can see why they are famous for their fish taco. It comes with a generous portion of lightly battered yet crispy fish with cabbage, salsa, and delicious white sauce. The carne asada was just okay… tasted just like any food truck’s taco. The fish ceviche tostada was very good. very fresh and came with 3 slices of avocado on top. They have a small salsa bar with red hot sauce, limes, and cooked veggies. Their sauce selection isn’t big, but they also have bottled hot sauce for you to use too. Only downside is this place is pricier than most Mexican food places, but I think it’s well worth it!

Since my last visit about 7 months ago. What’s must important is the taste and Quality of what you may be ordering is the same and must of all consist This location delivered on my visit this past weekend. The cashier was also very friendly and most of all provided the basic’s principles in greeting her customers. A nice hello and most of all Thank You and have nice evening. Great Job..

Ugh, I just had a really bad experience here and so sad cuz I LOVE this place. A worker was handling RAW meat, then proceeded to make my food WITHOUT washing her hands. I had them redo my order, while she went to the back, HOPEFULLY to wash her hands. If anyone has gotten sick after eating here, now you know why! Meanwhile, she was laughing at the poor guy taking orders. Worry more about cleanliness honey, then what your coworker is doing!

I usually come for their famous Fish Tacos(which are A++ btw), but this time I was just itching for some chicken naaaachooooossss. Chicken Nachos($ 6.99) Huge portion. I would share this with someone else and then you both have room to get some fish tacos! Chicken, cheese, chips, and grease! Sounds like nachos if I’ve ever had some bomb nachos! The location is in a run down lot that looks a little janky, but hey, that means the food is legit, right?!

I love this place for their famous fish tacos, I have never been disappointed by this place! I have been coming to this place since I was 13 years old, with my friends and the taste has never changed. The only reason why I cannot give this place 5 stars is because considering all the business they have and all the high clientele this place is too small to eat in, they should expand, there is never any seating and the line to order is by the door and everyone is crowded trying to place their order and when your giving your order the door fan turns on and it’s really hard to talk over it, so I would recommend always order to go.

This is not my favorite location to dine. I was in the area and instead of driving to El Monte, which is our normal spot, we settled for a closer location. I won’t be doing that again. Placing the order indoors was super packed and there’s hardly any standing room. I was not a fan of their restroom either, which is located on the outside and require a key that is chained to a giant metal ladle. The stars are strictly for the fish tacos. As creatures of habit, we usually stick with the infamous fish taco and get a few grilled ones to balance out the deep fried goodness. Stick with the 6 pack to share and order a few more to try different meats. I don’t drink orchata anywhere else, but here. It’s crazy good here and we can only vouch for their fish tacos. Their outdoor patio area was big enough to accommodate the amount of patrons. With semi-trucks passing by at higher speeds, hitting pot holes, it’s not greatest ambiance to dine.

Came in last night on my drive back from LA and searched for taco joints… the directions had me exit and back Track on the fwy to find this place, but I was willing to because I’ve heard good things about it. I should have tried the fish taco, but we didn’t so this is what we ordered and here are some notes… Potato taco– good AL pastor– okay Shrimp cocktail– surprisingly great. It’s a little on the sweeter side so make sure you ask for extra limes. I was shocked at the amount of shrimp that they actually give you. They did not skimp the shrimp at all(which is a first for any restaurant for that matter). Was it good enough to return? Ummm… probably not! If I’m literally down the street of course, but not to go out of my way for.

Same great food as the locations in El Monte and Walnut that i’ve been to, but definitely a lot more run down! That said, it is the ambience such as the one found here just shows the authenticity of the food. #1 or the Three Fish Tacos combo is the go to item that I’ve always ordered off the menu. At $ 7.99, it comes with three big fish tacos, chips and drinks. Remember to wash your hands! The big crunchy pieces of fish has always been so big to fit inside the two slices of tortillas. Topped with chopped tomatoes, sliced lettuce and salsa, it takes skills and practice to keep everything from falling apart. If you succeed, you’ll be enjoying one of the yummiest fish tacos I’ve tasted. Eating these fish tacos have always been a game of how many napkins I don’t have to use. In the end, I’ve probably used at least a dozen of napkins. The roasted pepper with salt and pepper is definitely a good treat to end the meal with. I usually just eat the skin. However, for the brave, they can definitely just a take a big bite off of it with all the seeds and its spiciness. Plenty of parking all around and credit cards are accepted without a minimum. There’s minimal bar type seating next to the salsa bar and plenty of seats under the covered patio. I would not recommend getting the fish tacos to go because the crunchiness of the fish will gone because all the white sauce got soaked by it and the tacos will just be one big mess.
