Seriously the best tamales! Well the second best compared to my grandmas. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of making your own or don’t know how I think it’s best place in this area. The pork ones are my personal favorite. I think they are a must. The cheese and the chicken ones don’t stay behind, they are all delicious. Everyone raves about the pan dulce(mexican sweet bread) but the tamales are great too!

I have come here for the really fresh bread on Sundays and to cash my check, bread is really good and its gets crowded in the morning, like I said I have only buy The Mexican Pan Dulce and use their check cashing service, don’t really know about their prices, when I cash a $ 2200 chekl they were $ 35 dollars cheaper than Ace check cashing so for that I am happy, and also I can cash my check on Sundays

Overpriced Hispanics products. I have no idea why people shop here. Maybe because they feel like its convenient,. Stay away from the mediocre stale bread.

If you want to try some fresh Mexican bread(Pan Dulce) done right, you come to Ensenada Market. It’s a little better from here than it is from Bodega(R Ranch Market) just around the corner. The really, REALLY good stuff here though, is the stuff at the meat market(carniceria). You can’t go wrong with their seasoned chicken or carne asada. I’ve never purchased ANY meat from here that didn’t taste or seem fresh(and lasts when I get it home in my refrigerator). I love the carnitas and chicarones from this place. I’ve been known to get a pound or two of fresh carnitas, walk over to the bakery and get four or five fresh baked bollios, walk to the fridge and grab some queso fresco and crema and make me and my buddies some sandwiches right on the spot… try it, it’s great! The employees working the registers always seem annoyed, but they do deal with high volume of customers all day, so maybe that’s why they aren’t too friendly. The people behind the meat counter are super nice though. There’s also a check cashing/bill pay processing center inside the store, which is pretty neat if you need to take care of that while you’re shopping.
