They have a very nice selection of high-end eyewear and it looks like they are used to clientele that can afford to spend alot for their glasses. We found some very hip, green Dolce and Gabbana frames for my 12yr old son. Had to wait 2 weeks for them to arrive. When we figured out that the prescription of the lenses were made wrong by VSP, they remade the lenses, free of charge and even upgraded his lenses to high — index polycarbonate for free! The Optometrist was very kind and apologetic and all the staff know us every time we come in! I would recommend this optometrist to anyone looking for some unique eyewear and good service!

I have done business with them a few times over the years. Eye exams and a pair of prescription sunglasses for which I paid more than $ 900 a couple of years ago. Brought a pair of glasses in for repair today which have been repaired there before and got very poor service from the middle aged woman with glasses who waited on me. In spite of my history with the shop she was reluctant to do the repair this time because«they were not purchased here». When she finally agreed to fix them she quoted $ 330 to repair the broken nose piece connection to the lens. When I commented that this was the second repair needed on the glasses, which are two and a half years old and for which I paid over $ 800, she said that was reasonable service life for them and intimated that I should replace them. Take your business to a shop that wants it. This woman acted as if she was annoyed that I came in at all and could care less about anything but what she could get me to pay.

Great service, VERY helpful staff when choosing frames. The doctor is super nice and also very helpful in figuring out what’s best for your eyes. My new eye place! Highly recommend.

Haven’t got an eye exam for like 5 years almost so I decided it’s finally time to get these puppies check. So my dad recommend me to go to his eye doctor that he has been going to for a while and it was down the street for my house. Honestly best time I had coming here! Doc Ron is the man to see, he knows what he’s talking about and helps you with any concerns you have with your eyes. Super friendly and always engaging conversations with you, doesn’t even feel like your at an eye doctors. Right away you can tell he cares about he’s patients and loves looking at people’s eyes, meaning he enjoys what he does best. Go check him out, he maybe the right person for your eyes. Thanks Doctor J!

Dr. Jensen, takes his time with each and every patient. yes he does converse on a lot of subjects, but so what. I had a complete eye exam lasting approximately 1 hr. When does that ever happen. I had a small cyst in one eye, that previously had not been diagnosed, i was told to use eye drops, my eyes were dry. As an RN, I knew something else was going on. Yes I was given RX for drops. The cyst did in fact clear up. Dr. Jensen does carry high end frames and moderately priced frames. Inexpensive frames, nope. Should you decide there are no frames in your price range or to your liking, by law you can take your prescription where ever you want.

Capable staff, but the good doctor is well past retirement, in my estimation. Went in with my elderly mother twice and the exam is unreal. The man talks your ear off – saying not much of anything… rambling incoherently at times… and gave faulty prescriptions for her glasses which gave her terrible headaches. And the prices… that’s another story. I’ve seen far lower prices for the same frames at other locations. Repairs? They wanted over $ 100 to fix a simple temple bar. I called a place in Cat City and they wanted only $ 50. Don’t take my word for it. Go yourself. Just be ready to pay too much money for something you can get far cheaper… and experience a truly Twilight Zone of an eye exam by a perhaps once good optometrist.

Seriously amazing place. Everyone is incredibly kind and considerate. We are forever customers of Dr. Ron and his staff. My husband and I both wear glasses and randomly picked this place from our insurance’s provider list. We have been coming for about three years now. I’ve even forgot about an appointment once and as I realized it we had missed it by half an hour. I called to appologize and was overly reassured it was okay. They are so nice and very understanding. My husband and I have different vision insurance than our boys. I am adding the kids to it as well after the horrible experince we had with Cornerstone Optometry in Palm Desert for our kids. We will be bringing them here as well from now on.

Not only is Dr. Ron my neighbor here in Old Town he is also my doctor. I found him to be personable, professional and very knowledgable. My eye exam was done quickly and my prescription is perfect. I would recommend Old Town Optometry highly.

Me, my girlfriend, and my roommate all needed to see an optometrist and we chose this location due to its proximity and the previous Unilocal review we read. We were all able to schedule our appointments for the same time which was awesome! As it turns out we made the right choice and we had a great experience! Dr. Jensen and the employees are a very close team and they made us feel very welcome. They were all very friendly and Dr. Jensen is very skilled at what he does. He even allowed two of us to watch on the monitor as he took photos of our friend’s optical nerve after dilating her eyes. Very cool. They have a really great selection of frames here!!! We all picked out something that we really loved and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new glasses. :)
