Trapperz

Excellent food and friendly service. We recently moved to Monroe and have made Trapperz our «go to» for lunch or dinner… the food is consistently good and the price is right. Recommend the Elvis Burger… Best burger I’ve ever had. The grilled Greek chicken wrap is also a good call… As well as the Napa Salad. When you go, order the cheese curds… you will be glad you did!

Dear Lord this place has the largest menu offerings I’ve ever seen! They have a thing about Elvis and frogs. If you know that going in you will be OK.
The have AYCE perch nights. Yep! Their appetizer offerings are close to 40! The hot pepper cheese cubes, fried asparagus and peel and eat shrimp were good. They also have frog legs and a whole frog that they fry up. No thanks.
Lots of burger choices including an Elvis burger. Natch. Lots of fish choices too. Wraps, salads, pasta, you name it, they probably have it.
Friendly staff and even friendlier patrons. They are not shy with the liquor in their cocktails. Good place in NI MI!

My husband and I snuck away for date night without our son, and our babysitter suggested Trapperz due to their good burgers.
First of all, this place was PACKED for a Tuesday. I didn’t know bars were packed on non-​football days?
The servers were busy, and you definitely saw it in their hustle. We ordered the fried asparagus appetizer, which was really good and piping hot out of the kitchen.
My husband and I both ordered burgers– they both came out cooked correctly and with GRILLED BUNS. My favorite!
I had ordered my burger and had asked for «chilli cheese fries» thinking that you could upgrade the burger to come with that since they had an option to get fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, etc. In actuality, my burger came with the standard chips and I ended up with a GIANT PLATE of chili cheese fries. It wasn’t a big deal, but next time I’ll make sure to be more specific– as I definitely did not need a giant plate of fries.
They had lots of menu items that looked delicious– I’d like to go back and try out some more of their offerings.

Excellent Berger’s I’ve been there many times every time has been great one of my favorite meals is lobster mac and cheese all the drinks we ordered were awesome great service all the waitresses were very nice. Another great dish is the shawarma sandwich. Great place recommended for anyone

I would like to rate this bar higher as the food is decent, however the thievery known to take place at this establishment has left a very bad taste in my mouth. The best advice I have to offer for one who insists on giving Trapper’s a try: pay with cash. Otherwise you can expect staff to take to themselves of your hard earned money. Happens everywhere and it’s forgivable, but I can’t respect a business whose management shows little concern of this behavior, let alone compensation for what was blatantly taken. I for one, will not tolerate it and therefore will take my business elsewhere.

We continue to be impressed with all aspects of this eatery. Food, drink, price point, cleanliness, friendliness, customer demographics, rewards program. A cheers type establishment with really good food.
We are nearing the point where we’ve traversed the entire menu in about 7 or 8 more selections.
Just 5 minutes south of Monroe in Lasalle.
Some places struggle to get customers on a Monday evening, because some say it’s the food and drink industry’s slowest day. No problems here. Heck they even expanded thier parking lot to accommodate the growing customer base.
Pork loins, alligator, calamari, cat fish, scallops, lobster, turtle soup, hamburgers, steaks, tacos, and wings. Yea, it’s all good. Even the deserts rock the house.
It’s just cool here. .man.

From the first time we went in in September 2014 the food especially the BLT and the turtle soup (my go to dishes) are consistently perfect. What a great local place with friendly staff!!!

This place isn’t bad, but they don’t got the best customer service. Whenever I call to order a take-​out the bartender always seems grouchy. Even today when I tried to make an order she just told me to hold on and put the phone down. I waited for 4 mins until I realized my money wasn’t that important and i just simply went to a different Monroe bar. I don’t think I will be coming back here anytime soon.

I must be missing something or came on a bad day. Onion soup tasted like it had a kerosene-​like flavor; flash fried calamari that I was told «flash fried» was better as it does not come out like «rubber «
I would probably preferred that over the «leather» calamari we got. Hummus… flavorless. however pita chips that it was served with was hot and freshly fried. Portabella mushrooms were really good. Burgers looked like it was from the frozen section at the supermarket.
One of the people that was with me got the special. mushroom and cheddar steak wrap and side of onion rings. She said it was good… but too much… but that would be good for a bigger eater. Good value too as she got 2 wraps for 8.99.
The service was ok… waitress was very nice too.
But website makes the suggestion that the food is «fresh» & healthy ingredients. Too many fried items that I would think would disqualify them from theirs claims of being «healthy». The menu was very different which was nice but we found the food to be very be mediocre… but maybe just an off day as we came to this restaurant based on the reviews which were excellent.
The 3 stars I’m giving is for the food… service was average… but she did very well for being what seemed to be the only waitress on the floor and had a lot of tables for a later lunch crowd.

Excellent food… all you can eat yellow lake perch. Great steaks, waleye, cod, ribs, fried turtle, turtle soup, clam chowder. Jumbo king crab, scallops, shrimp, fog legs!
And more… great menu ! Fun place! We wil be back !!

Loved the fish. It was great. The potato was a little overdone. I would definitely get the fish again and will be back. Everyone loves the turtle. My friends had two bowls.

Have to say it has bar atmosphere, but the food is amazing. Bring the family and enjoy all the tasty goodness. The Fried Asparagus is particularly good. Excellent seafood and steaks. the WINGS ROCK TOO.
