Car was making a funny noise on the way to Zion– saw some positive reviews on Unilocal.Great call to stop here. It was just a loose piece of plastic under the car, we were in an out in 20 minutes and they took great care of us. Recommend for anyone driving through and looking to be taken care of like a local.

I can’t say enough good about this place. They are very thorough, very veteran friendly, and stayed late on a Saturday for me so I could get back on the road. The owner Paul is a good man, and personally kept me informed. He was good to his employees, and had nothing but good to say about them. He even showed me the correct way to correct my timing for free (I missed one small but important step).

We take all our vehicles here. They are very fair in price and honest with what they are doing.

We recently decided to support a local auto shop and we’re so glad we found Paul at Southern Mountain 4×4 & Auto in La Verkin. He is super knowledgeable and has extremely good rates. We’ve had our rigs in at his shop several times now and we learn a lot and feel like we are getting an honest deal. I would highly recommend this business.

I am amazed there are no reviews for this place yet but I also think they just recently opened. I stupidly took my wife’s car down a mud-​riddled 4×4 road while we were spending a lovely two weeks visiting nearby Zion National Park. When I finally got through the road (thank god the wife wasn’t in the car) I limped to these guys thinking I had just destroyed the axle or something. Car was rocking like it was in the high seas and I was sure I was in for a big bill. The owner, Paul, put it up on the lift and proceeded to knock about 50 tons of dirt out of my tires for me. Turned out nothing was damaged, just had more mud inside that car than previously thought possible. They could have totally charged me up the wazoo for what they did (I would not have been any wise, I just didn’t want to go back to the hotel and have my head ripped off), but Paul didn’t charge me a thing… though he did suggest I get a truck.
These guys are awesome. Pretty sure they do it all. I suggest you go to Zion, go down the Smithsonian Butte road in the mud with your wife’s car, then take it to Southern Mountains 4×4 & Auto.
I don’t always break down… but when I do, I try and make sure it is in La Verkin.
