State of the art spin studio. Loved the detailed feedback that you get not only during the ride but after. Shirin sends you an email with all of your data. I have only done one class here(5:30 a.m. Wednesday) but have done classes in other places and was really impressed by the studio, the friendliness of the people and Shrin’s professionalism. She took the time to make sure that I was set up properly on the bike and explained how the class would work. Serious, no non-sense workout — not all the dumb stuff(pushups on handlebars) that you find in some places. Take advantage of the free class. You’ll love it!

I was very impressed with my experience here. The studio uses state of the art spinning bikes that provide you with real time feedback. Their approach allows you to exercise at the level that is most suitable and beneficial to your individual situation, whether novice or pro. On a technical level, the facility uses bikes with strain gauges on the bikes that measure force exerted and are connected to a real time display. After warmup, we did a quick test to determine our individual levels of strength and fitness. The rest of the class was spent working at various percentages of the established fitness threshold. This method is well established as being the most effective at improving fitness levels. On a more personal level, I was welcomed by all at my first class and felt I was in a very supportive and encouraging environment. I have been to many spinning studios, but this place truly impressed me in many ways. 5 stars well deserved!

I wanted to be fair and get several classes in before I commented on this location, so after 5 differently-focused sessions with 3 different instructors, I feel this is the real deal for cyclists. Significant points: * Class descriptions mean something. The sessions tailored the intensity, duration and frequency of efforts based on the focus of that class(e.g. endurance, strength, lactate threshold, etc.). * In-class effort translates to on-bike. The bikes are very configurable for a correct cycling fit. I felt like the muscles being used were the same ones I feel while riding outside. LA Fitness and Retro Fitness machines do not give me the same feel. So as you learn things like«This is what 90% effort feels like, and I know I can maintain this for xxx minutes.», it carries over to the outside world. * Effort is tailored to individual fitness level. I was riding with a beginner on one side and a Cat-3 racer on the other, yet we all could see we were putting out the same relative efforts in response to the instructor’s request. * Lots of feedback/data. After every class/session, you get emailed 15 different stats you your ride, and these stats are also logged in their website where you can see your efforts over time. You will need to provide your own ANT+ heart rate monitor if you want their system to include that data. * No integration with Strava/Map My Ride at this time. If you want to include class stats to one of these fitness sites, you have to manually log the rides. Strava challenges require stats that come directly from a linked device(not manually input), so the class rides«don’t count» towards the challenge(but do count to your other non-challenge stats). I wouldn’t expect anyone to take my opinion as anything more than just that; an opinion, and if I didn’t like the experience, I probably wouldn’t post anything at all. But I feel they provide good value for the cost, and are clearly passionate about cycling and the cycling community. Thumbs up.

This spin studio is fantastic! The equipment is top notch and enables every rider to individually track and benchmark their own rides against their personal record. On a virtual ride last week, I crushed my personal record — literally I had no expectation that I could put out that much power, burn that many calories, and actually enjoy the ride. It was awesome! Shirin(the Owner & Instructor), is meticulous about setting each rider’s bike up in a way that keep’s them safe and comfortable — she even added special padding to my handle bars to help me ride more comfortably while I recuperate from a hand injury! That’s the real difference between this studio and others that I’ve tried(YMCA and Pedal Spin). Shirin knows me, she understands my goals, and she’s an expert instructor as well as avid cyclist. I mountain bike almost every weekend and within one month, my buddies and I noticed a drastic improvement in my riding. I’m stronger. I have better stamina, and I’m faster up the mountain. That improvement has made my whole experience more fun. Plus, the best thing is that investing in my own health has helped me bring more positive energy into my relationships. Cyclinsanity is a true gem in the Claremont and La Verne area.

The best spin studio with the best instructors. You will not only get into great shape, you’ll be taught the science behind your training that gets results. What I like the most is each ride is specifically designed with music to match the unique ride. This studio is not like others I have gone to with whatever«POP» song is spiking on the radio. No the music is designed for the ride instead of the ride for the music. No push ups on bikes here just real results. The people are super fun too !

After driving by this studio for about 4 months after noticing it had opened, I decided I lived wayyyyy to close to not at least give it a shot. I had never been to a group exercise class before, not did I think I would enjoy it, I had also never rode anything thing but a bike on the street or local trails here in Claremont and La Verne. I thought it would be extremely boring and that I would probably by the only guy there, ALL of this is NOTTRUE! Months later I still attend regularly and learn something new about training as well as myself and my abilities, EVERYTIME I am there. Shirin is an expert at spinning and cycling and EXTREMELY passionate about the sport and her TEAM, it is such a great environment and she makes you want to come back, even though you walk out completely drenched in sweat. Shirin also makes sure you are setup 100% so the bike fits your body perfectly and then regularly checks on you during the class. One of the best perks is NOT the free use of a sweat towel and complimentary coffee after weekend rides, it’s the state of the art technology she has implemented in to her studio, there is no guessing how you are doing during your ride, it’s all on the large flat screen TV’s about the instructions stage, it’s also on the computer mounted right on your bike. How cool is that?!? What else you ask? She emails your results to you faster than you can enter your password on your phone to see who texted you while you were having the time of your life on a bike in the 65 degree studio with the world’s largest fan go faster than the ghetto bird flying over the Pomona neighborhood 3 blocks south. To top it off, she is one of the only studios in Southern California offering SPINPower® classes. Would you believe she’s traveled the country to bring this to us in La Verne? Talk about PASSIONATE. There’s more you ask? Yes there is! How could that be possible? I know I asked the same thing myself. Shirin offers free classes to see if you want to become part of her team! What do you have to lose? What other gym offers FREE classes!?! You also wont be scared by the pricing of this studio. Working in downtown Los Angeles, I’ve seen classes advertised at over 40 per hour, Shirn’s classes are more than 50 or 60% less than those I’ve seen. Take a chance, you will not be disappointed! The worst thing is you never return and you met a person who is passionate about something. Seems like a win win to me.

«Knowledge is power» If you desire to have a powerful mind & body; then cyclinsanity is the place to spin. Shirin Beckett & her instructors have the knowledge to train both your body & mind during 60 minutes on a strain gauged spin bike. No where else can one get a thorough and complete workout as on a spin bike. The power that one garners from cyclinsanity classes, should you ride on the road or just stay indoors is phenomenal. The training is done w accuracy and individualized to each cyclist. The music is set for the different phases of the ride. The friendliness & fun that ensues in each class makes cyclinsanity unique. Serious road riders & indoor riders mesh effortlessly w the common goal of staying fit and strong cardio & muscular wise. There is high intensity, power and strength building all done under the watchful eye of the instructor — making sure that one’s form is correct. The fact that the classes are instructed by truly knowledgable instructors who know how to train individuals in the correct way w intervals and rest make it a safe place to exert one’s self and get an awesome and complete workout. I stubbled upon this spin studio in July, called and scheduled myself for the introductory session. I had never been to a spin class before, in fact, I’ve always disliked the idea of group training anything, but my sister raved about spin so I thought I would try it. I must say Shirin was incredibly helpful. She spent time explaining how to do spin correctly and all the benefits of doing low impact sports. Well, I attended the first class and that was all I needed — SOLD! Except, the session hours did not work with my work schedule so I did the next best thing, bought my own spin bike. During the week I will spin at home and on the weekends, I will definitely come out to the studio to spin with Shirin. Great vibe!

What I love the most about Cyclinsanity is the positive, friendly, encouraging environment. You will never walk into Cyclinsanity and feel intimidated. You are welcomed with a smile, checked on to make sure your bike is properly set up, given excellent instruction during the ride. The classes are challenging in a very good way and when you’re done you really feel like you’ve accomplished something big — and it was fun! They have really nice bikes and you can reserve the exact bike you want online. They even have a handcycle! The studio is clean. The instructors are excellent. There’s a fancy computer system that monitors your ride and emails you your stats after class. It is apparent that the great minds behind Cyclinsanity put a lot of thought and hard work into creating this space. Good job!
