I ordered the cup of French onion soup with a turkey muffuletta. I received a cup of onion soup that wasn’t filled all the way and a borderline cold, not toasted olive medley sandwich topped sparsely with a little turkey, not a pleasant thing to bite into. After bringing both items back to the line, where I pointed out the quantity of soup in my cup vs a cup of tomato soup about to be bussed, the manager responded and agreed that both were subpar and saw that more turkey was put on my same sandwich and that I received a cup of soup with the correct portion size. The added turkey was not any warmer than the rest of the sandwich and the sandwich still wasn’t toasted either. I decided that molasses muffins would make up for the lackluster meal but I was disappointed to find that the muffins were oily and unpleasant too. At least the black current tea was good…
Consistency in food and service is very important. No matter how many people you have in your restaurant, and there weren’t that many (27 people in the whole restaurant to be exact) your guests should all expect a consistent product and experience. I was going to overlook the soup because I hate complaining and bringing back food but after the salty bite of just olives and cold untoasted bread, I was annoyed that my whole experience drew the short straw today.

Eat at Jason’s frequently. Love the Beef Eater — consistently done right. Wife and kids love the always fresh salad bar and soups. Staff is friendly. Lake Charles location is clean. Free ice cream makes for a perfect spot to eat.

We went to get a salad about 1:30 in the afternoon. The salad bar had not been up dated in a while. The lettuce was turning yellow, the artichokes were sitting in a lot of juice, the salad peppers were few and sitting in juice. The high point was when the ice cream machine was out and part was broken a while back and they would not get it fixed. One and done never again.

I had the beefeater and tamato basil the other day, not my favorite. Had the new York Yankee sandwhich. omg…you better order the small size. I ate my sanwhich and then slept for four hours. wow! Great tatter salad. you will love the food and the seating area is huge!!! Very good ac inside also!!! We will eat there many more times to come – give it a Shot.

Love the salad bar at Jason’s Deli, but today, it wasn’t very clean! I’m pretty sure I had a hair in my bacon bits, but I’m trying not to think about it too much. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Overall a good experience.

Love, love, love the Salad bar! It’s the only thing I get when I visit Jason’s. I’ve tried a few of the sandwiches, but they weren’t anything super special. The soups can come out a little cold if they are super busy.
The salad bar is always fresh, and they periodically switch out a few of the topping choices to give a little variety!
Don’t forget to save room for the complimentary ice cream!

Great selection of food. Service was fast and everyone had a smile. Lunch hour is crazy with all the traffic and be prepared for some parking issues.

I’ve got no big complaints with this place. The salad bar is always really well laid-​out and fresh, but the sandwiches are pretty boring – not necessarily bad, just not very inspired. This place really shines with their employees, though; they might just be great actors, but they always seem like they’re in genuinely good moods. This location is pretty popular, but even the lunch rush seems to push through pretty quickly with order-​to-​table happening in around 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it always seems like one member of our usual lunch group (and it’s a different random person each time) gets forgotten about entirely, requiring a new order to be put in after everyone else has already gotten their food.

My family and I have come to this restaurant several times and I must say I’m more impressed everytime we go. The food is of the highest quality. One evening I saw a man with a thermometer checking the temperature of foods on the bar and I asked him what he was doing. I have NEVER seen anyone do this in all my years of visiting restaurants with buffets and salad bars. The manager explained that they were extremely dedicated to the quality and temperature of their foods. I must say I was highly impressed. The restaurant was so clean and when I went to the bathroom I was amazed at how clean it was as well. Definitely going back!

Hard to believe such a well-​designed national chain originated in Beaumont TX. I’ve eaten at several around the country, always at lunch, and am consistently impressed with the generous portions of meat in the sandwiches and the excellent soups. The Lake Charles location featured extremely courteous service. We went after 6:00pm and found the wheat bread a bit dry, so it was exchanged immediately without any fuss. Glad to see they still provide the free ice cream. Looking forward to their version of a French Dip next time.

Went the other night at 9:00 pm. They close at 10. There were maybe 9 customers seated already eating. A couple was in front of us in line placing their order.
The reason I mention this is trying to justify the time it took to get my order.
My wife had a salad bar so that took hers out of the equation. Only thing left was my beef sandwich
It took almost 25 minutes to get it to our table. Don’t get me wrong. It was very delicious. I just can’t accept that long a wait time unless they had to cook the entire steer. Or too many employees left early. Either way its not acceptable and they need to beware.

Great service, very friendly. Love the salad bar and soups! You also get free soft serve ice cream.

It was way better than I thought. I plan to try all the sandwiches on the menu!!!
