I have gotten my hair done her several times after I was referred by mom when we moved to Washington from another state, my stylist Marie was always great and did a wonderful job, but the prices seem to go up every time I went on my last visit the owner was very intrusive in my appointment and for my daughter and I just to get a cut and color was $ 490 and she insisted on watching me sign the receipt and suggested that I pay the maximum gratuity of 25% that was my last visit I will not be going back

Very disappointed in this salon. I originally scheduled a hair and makeup appointment on a Saturday morning. Not only did they not show up, they didn’t call and say they’d be unavailable. It was very odd and rude.

I made an appointment at the last minute and they accommodated my last minute request. Brenda cut my hair and added partial lowlights and styled beautifully. Super adorable and an elegant salon. I will definitely be going back.

Probably the worst haircut an experience I have ever had in a salon. Do not go to this place you are better off at Super cuts!

Right after Memorial Day my car was being repaired close by, so I looked for somewhere to take a chance on having my hair trimmed. I found this salon. The lady who cut my hair(the one with the Russian or Eastern European accent) did a fantastic job. Scroll through to today. I’m headed out of town tomorrow but would just love to have that great stylist do my hair first thing in the morning, if she is available, but I can’t remember the name of the business. Google maps should help, starting with the Subaru repair shop. No luck. Check my online banking for the company. Bingo. Beautiful site, but it’s Flash so it can’t be found in Google, and, I can’t contact them by email or form through their site. The gal who answers the phone hardly speaks English and doesn’t understand when you tell her the time she wants to make the appointment won’t work. I’d rather just speak to the stylist I want and not explain things 6 times over. Heavy sigh. 5 stars for the great stylist. 3 stars for communication skills.

Well, I read a few really great reviews so I thought I might try them out. I first called to ask if they had a stylist who was experienced with naturally curly hair… I was assured they knew how to cut naturally curly hair well. The woman who did my hair did not speak very good English so I think there was a communication barrier between us as I tried to explain to her what I wanted to do with my hair. I paid a decent price for a haircut that was simply so-so and barely cut at all. While my hair stylist was very sweet, she did not cut my hair the way I asked, she did not style it the way I asked. She barely cut any off — I felt like I needed a new cut as soon as I left. She used her hands to try to «fluff» my hair quite a bit but did not use the scissors very much despite our conversations about how I wanted my hair cut. I do not think I will be back. I am willing to pay a pretty penny for a decent haircut but this was not the place. I shall keep looking.

I could only wish for the same great experience that the last two posters had with this salon. I’m new to the area, and simply decided to give this salon a try due to it’s proximity to my home. When I first walked in, I thought it was weird that at 3pm in the afternoon there was not a single soul in the salon. That should have been my first hint that something was awry. Ignoring my instinct, I made an appointment for highlights and a cut. I was long overdue and was looking forward to a stunning new look. When I arrived for my appointment(the following week), again, there was not a single soul in the salon except for the hairstylist and the receptionist. The salon was decorated nicely, but was a little dark. My second inkling that things weren’t right came from a little bit of small talk with my stylist. I simply asked her how long she had been doing hair(since she looked very young). She dodged the question by saying«I can’t remember… awhile now…» Yikes! She wasn’t that old so I thought it was strange that she didn’t remember how long she had been doing hair! I asked for highlights that would not turn orange in color(I have a lot of red in my hair) and a fairly simple hair cut. During the process, I suddenly realized that the receptionist must be more than just the receptionist(perhaps the owner???) as she kept hovering looking with intent over what the stylist was doing to my hair. And when she wasn’t hovering over the stylist, she was shopping for shoes on the Gucci website and running out for something to eat. Note that there was exactly ONE phone call in the FOUR hours that I was there to keep her busy. When everything was finished(by the way, this process took 4HOURS!), the stylist asked me how I’d like my hair blow dried. It was ridiculous. I could have done a better job myself, and quite frankly did after I went home. I had thought the highlights were okay UNTIL I was in proper light(remember I mentioned how dark the salon was?). Guess what? Yup, they were orange in color. Now, I know what you’re thinking… why didn’t I go back to have them fixed? Well, first time shame on them… second time, shame on me! I wasn’t going to go back for them to get fixed when they couldn’t get them right in the first place! Especially since they were exactly what I said that I didn’t want! The cut was okay, the color I am going to a different salon to have them correct it. All in all, avoid the salon unless you get word that the stylist is a winner.

Update on my update! So i’ve been lavishing about this place amongst my network in the Seattle area since I’ve been getting compliments on my hair. My first visit was an absolute plus and knew off the bat my second visit will be just as good. Therefore, I’ve made arrangments for the Thermal Straightening which is also known as the Japanese Perm. I’ve done this process in the Philppines before and that treatment in the Philippines was the best investment I’ve made on myself so I was definately hoping Capelli 8 can deliver something similar. It was considerably nice of them to accommodate my last minute squeeze in for a 4hr process treatment. Definately well taken care and Capelli 8 has definately done a great job with my hair. I left the place feeling«new» with the new texture of my hair. Straight, soft, and fabulous. It is definately hard to find a place reasonably priced to do a Thermal Straightening(or Japanese Perm) outside of Asian countries. For the length of my hair(few inches past the shoulders) i paid around $ 230 which is expensive but for this treatment… affordable and wroth it. It was every worth of my dollar to wake up not having to go thru the hassel of using a straightner to staighten my hair. Capelli 8 has delivered another fabulous service to me. THANKYOU! If there is a chance for people to come here, please do so. For my network in Seattle, do make the 1hr drive to get your hair didz here, you will NOT be disappointed. For my network in California(northern/southern), if you’re crazy like me to fly to Washington to get your hair didz… then your just as cool! I’m anticipating my next visit in December!
