Note that this isn’t a review of therapy provided. Sorry to the practitioners here that may actually be great, but your administrative staff is bringing you down. I almost never write reviews unless they’re positive, but this experience was so frustrating I feel it deserves mentioning. Extremely unprofessional front desk staff. I am(well, was going to be) a new massage client. I called about 2 weeks ago, made an appointment, and after scheduled stated I had three questions. After each one she cut me off and pushed to get off the phone, and I had to continue to insist so I could finish asking my insurance/treatment questions. Told her she could put me on hold if needed, but I needed to ask them. Rudeness continued anyway. Very short and unprofessional. Should have realized from this that my experience would not be pleasant. She told me to arrive a couple minutes early to fill out paperwork. They called yesterday to confirm my appointment and asked that I bring my referral and insurance with me. That was professional and appreciated. I arrived today, 10 minutes early(more than the«couple minutes» requested), after driving 20 minutes to get there and taking time off work. The paperwork was extremely extensive for massage therapy… never encountered anything like it. I asked if all of it was necessary immediately or if I could fill it out later and she pointed out the sections they had to have apparently before the massage. This would have taken a minimum of 20 minutes to fill out IF I had been told to have all the information handy. I stated that I would have come much earlier or filled out in advance if this had been mentioned. No response except a snarky eyebrow lift. 5 minutes after my appt was set to start and I still wasn’t even close to finishing, I said I was frustrated by the paperwork and do not have the info needed. I asked again if it could possibly be discussed now and filled out later. Only caustic and irritated responses received. She asked the massage therapist and they told me one section that I could skip… the one that would have taken only 30 seconds to fill out. Sigh. I continued filling it out and 10 minutes after my appt time I said the massage will need to be cut short since I have to be back to work asap. No response. I finally gave up at that point and said I’ll have to cancel since I’m required back at work asap. All she said was«We’ll have to charge you.» Really? I said fine and left in tears(yeah, overemotional, but was overwhelmed by the extensity of the ongoing rudeness). Ending suggestion. If you don’t like people, don’t be in a job where you’re around them. If you’re not willing to provide any customer service, relay pertinent information, or extend understanding or acknowledgement of any kind for a negative situation you created, don’t work at a front desk greeting people. If you have a snarky demeanor and cause people stress with your sh&*ty attitude and poor communication, DEFINITELY don’t work at a place that offers massages! Definitely will not return. Use your good judgement on this place.
