This review is partially for me and partially for my husband. When I come to the Viking, I have an «okay» time. It’s usually loud and usually crowded. The bathrooms are sometimes clean and sometimes not. Here’s the thing: they do karaōke every day and I don’t really like karaōke, so my idea of a good time is NOT going to a karaōke bar. HOWEVER, the servers are super friendly and awesome, the drinks are inexpensive, and it’s kind of a quintessential dive bar, so that’s basically what you’re getting.(Also, jello shots for $ 1!) My husband, who loves karaōke, can’t get enough of this place. He loves the atmosphere. It’s right up his alley. So even though I don’t love the Viking, it’s definitely just because it’s not«my kind of place» — not because it’s a bad place to go. I recommend checking it out. I like it a lot more in the early afternoon before the karaōke crowd rolls in, and the food is actually good. It’s nice to go right after work for a drink with co-workers. Give it a shot and see if it’s your kind of place!

Beyond depressing. Some of the saddest people in town are here, and the owner is one of the worst people in the world. I suggest you spend $ 1 more per drink and go somewhere that has some more class.

I like this place. we are a same sex couple and felt pretty comfortable here for a military-filled karaōke bar. Nice staff and super friendly regulars. cheap beer.

Deadsville. PERIOD. Walked in this place three times, and its like a morgue. Desperadoville. have no clue why I tried the third time, but come on people, put a buck in the juke box or something!

I don’t drink and I am allergic to tobacco, not to «smoke» to tobacco. After sitting for about an hour or so, a woman not far from the karaōke jockey blew out a huge STEAMSTREAM of tobacco — and I am SURE that most will say she wasn’t «smoking» but the TOBACCO that comes out of her lungs and mouth beg to differ. So do the hives and worse I get from people being so evil as to not realize that«vaping» tobacco is SMOKING with the temp turned down and some of those«e-juices» are as dangerous as any cigarette, pipe or chew. It’s against the law to use tobacco in restaurants unless you are chewing — steam or smoke, it still does the same to those who are horridly allergic to tobacco.

I was kinda nervous when I first walked in. I didn’t know what to expect from the crowd, people of all types are in there and I loved it. A lot of people that just want to have a good time. The kaeoke was fun to watch and entertaining. Good place to go for cheap drinks and good people.

As bars go, it was meh. The layout is very poor as it doesn’t really leave space to walk when people are standing around. Drinks were average, but pricey IMO for what is really a dive bar. A single shot well mixed drink with two juices should not cost $ 6 at a dive. I did like the patio area that had a covered area for smoking and the karaōke wasn’t bad. It was just so loud and the sound mix was off, so if you’re going to sing you have to really belt it. Not a place to go every weekend and one of my last choices for a night out.

I work next door at TitusWill and get to eat lunch there a lot… The Hamburgers are incredible. The fries are fresh cut and cooked to perfection. Just hd the clam chowder today and it was so good I decided to give a review!!! There is a $ 3.50 burger basket special on Thursdays that is the best deal in the county!

Very crowded bar, not too much walking space. The karaōke is fun but it seems like you need to tip to get a song in. Sometimes he’ll play someone twice before you sing your turn. They have jello shots here which is a nice change. Not too many Karaōke bars do. There’s also a pool table but it can be too crowded to play it.

So The Viking has been a go to bar whenever I’m in this part of town which is pretty often due to my friends living in this area and I’ve had a pretty good time there thus far. The place seems to be pretty accepting and karaōke night is usually a good time. I found that Fridays are the best days to go as it was a little dead when we went on a Saturday. Anyway if anyone was there when I went there in a cat onesie along with a leather jacket singing Lady Gaga — Bad Romance so I hoped I left some sort of impression. Though the important part that it seem to get the crowd going and I didn’t feel like my life was going to be threatened in a dive bar so it was all good. People seem friendly enough, which could possibly be due to how strong they pour their drinks here too. I’m almost certain a whiskey and coke was mostly whiskey and a splash of coke. So that’s awesome. While I always prefer to go up north, this place is a good time too.

Not a bad place to be if you want to spend your Saturday night listening to karaōke. I’m not sure about the men’s bathroom, but for ladies… horrible. There was hardly any space between the door and the toilet, so make sure you strip down before entering. The bar staff was friendly and so were the drinks.

The staff has changed and it’s not as friendly as it used to be. The Karaōke DeeJay also jacks the music up a little too loud in order to drown out some of the singers.

I spotted the sign out front mentioning their chili dog, and I needed lunch. Easily the best chilli dog I’ve had in a long long time. Hand made by the owner, it’s got a great kick of heat without being overwhelming. Well worth stopping in for! The bar is typical, plenty of seating at tables or the bar. a pool table, darts, etc. Very friendly lady bartender. I’ll be back for more!
