We went here for the first time last night for something good but low key for our anniversary and we are definitely glad that we did! First we were running, late and called to let them know and they were very gracious when we arrived the place was jammed and people were at the door waiting. Our table was in a corner of the bar area– next time we are hoping to rate a table in one of the quieter rooms, but the food made up for the table location. The owner welcomed us, explained the menu, told us who would serve us(just about everyone) and off we went. We had several different small plates, each one better than the last. We started with the stacked spinach salad then on to artichoke hearts with chèvre and candied pecans, duck confit, calamari, steak bites and a flatbread. Despite the strange assortment, it was fabulous both by themselves and as a wonderful meal. The ingredients were fresh, cooked to perfection and the spices and sauce options amazing. Just when we thought we couldn’t move from eating so much, they brought out a plate of 5 desserts as a complementary ending to celebrate our anniversary. We will go back to Tavern 27– often. We have lots of options in Boston but this place would compete with the top selections. Luckily we spend weekends in NH but we would drive the 90 Mins for this one

From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated like royalty and served fantastic food. I’ve been here many times and have always left extremely happy with their service and food. Tavern 27 is phenomenal and can do no wrong!

Love, love, love! Exactly, Leslie makes all of her food with love and Ray is super friendly. I love the farm to table concept, supporting local businesses, and farmers. Locally grown, whole food is the BEST food! The staff is ready and willing to please, and they truly cater to patrons that suffer from food allergies. So, don’t be shy about making special requests. BESTSWEETPOTATOFRIESINTHENATION! The bartender, Phil from Jersey is a consummate professional and makes fantastic designer martinis with a SMILE!

Thank you to Ray and staff for the hospitality. If we could try everything on the menu, we would have!(And we tried a lot! All delish) Drinks are great. Food is amazing and unique. Service is top notch. We Are«foodies» and this place is on the VERY short list we will keep for repeats. We just wish you were closer, it would be on the weekly spot!!! Try the stuffed dates, both versions. Heaven. Love this place for the organic, gluten free options, which we try to follow as a way of life and is not always possible especially eating out. So thank you for making it a little easier and enjoyable! We will be back, you are worth the 2 hour drive from Central Mass. Keep up the good work!!!

I was in Tilton, NH for a wedding this past weekend and did a little research on restaurants in the area. This place popped up quite a bit in my search so my friends and I decided take the 15min drive. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. Because everything is served as small plates we got a taste of quite a few items. Also, if you have any food allergies they’re extremely accommodating. You can tell the owner and the staff take a lot of pride in what they do and it didn’t go unnoticed. I would definitely go back here.

This was a wonderful find for our trip to the lakes region. The restaurant is located inside an old house, so when you first drive up don’t be alarmed – despite all appearances to the contrary, you are in the right place! We enjoyed ginger beer from the bar and a handful of small plates. My favorites: the chicken-wrapped dates and the fried haddock. My husband loved the artichoke bites. And the chocolate torte for dessert was lovely. Great food, fun atmosphere, and really friendly and accommodating management. I’m so glad we opted to come here.

Awesome find! We were looking for a place that was still open past 8:30 on a Friday night and this was about it. It had great reviews and sounded unique, but was wayyyy better than we expected. The owner, Phil, greeted us and as we did not have a reservation, ‘created’ a table for us in the bar with the live piano player. He asked us if we’d ever been there before and as we hadn’t gave us the whole spiel about their«american tapas»(larger than your average tapas plates). Food was delicious, fresh, made to order and generous– as promised. My girlfriend has a few dietary restrictions and they didn’t even have to modify menu items to accommodate her. Interesting and flavorful cocktails too, I’m a beer drinker but couldn’t help trying out a couple of their concoctions. Service was fantastic, everyone waited on us, and no one passed by without noticing or asking if we needed something. The piano player Bob was a human jukebox… literally. He handed out a booklet and his phone number and took any test requests(preferably ones he knew). Really fun! Can’t wait to go back!

This is by far the best place I have eaten in the New England area. The employees were extremely friendly and the owner was a straight shooter. 10⁄10!

We loved, loved, loved this place! They use locally sourced foods as much as possible. They are very down to earth. They have great variety of the small plates and everything we had was delicious! The service was great and the décor is homey. They have a great drink menu also. Eat here if can find it; it’s off the beaten path.

After being to almost every state & a few different countries, this is my absolute favorite restaurant. The«American Spin» on tapas is absolutely perfect. Almost all of their food being gluten free, cooked with only the freshest ingredients & a menu that has changed quite a few times over the years, I could never get bored of this place. After being here well over 30 times in the past 4yrs(I live 3hrs away, or I’d be there more), never once has anything been less than amazingly perfect. Match that with an amazing staff/owner, super friendly entertainment(piano), beautifully stocked bar & still a place that has the perfect ‘nice casual’ feel(IMO) — you can’t get any better. My favorites are the Sweet Potato Fries with Cheddar dipping sauce, Asparagus with horse radish cheddar, these amazing sirloin tips with portobello on top, the Steak Roulade, the best Tomato Basil soup… The list keeps going! Thank you Ray, Steph, Phil & Kristin! p. s. If you like martinis, I highly recommend the«SpongeBob HotPants». Enjoy!

Perfect place. Awesome setting, very nice people, organic, plenty of veggie options. Loved their poppers. Must try extremely hot ones. They are just the right amount of hot you can enjoy. Pizza is on sourdough bread with the cheese keep stretching on and on and on. Portion size is just about right. You don’t fill hungry and don’t fill extremely stuffed either. Loved their beer collection, especially IPAs(must try 4000 footer). This is an awesome place. I am going drive 2 hrs just to come back again.

We heard about Tavern 27 so we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with the kids and it was great, friendly service, excellent cocktails, and the food was amazing. We especially loved the tapas style dining and the variety of food they have. Hand cut fries with hot ketchup and white cheese truffle sauce, grilled chicken skewers wit Asian ginger, fresh dough pizza and the most amazing indian pudding! Highly recommended!

Best vegetarian tapas ever. Nicely decorated space. We had the stacked spinach salad, the artichokes with goat cheese and pecans, the French onion soup with Manchengo cheese, the chickpea frites, and the veg out pizza. My favorite by far was the pizza with its fresh vegetables and the great textured wild mushrooms. Loved every bite!

We were a little apprehensive when first pulling in, but boy was this different once you walked inside. Great music, beautiful historic 1781 home. Excellent, creative, and flavorful creations. Favorites were the Powerhouse salad, Chickpea fries, and Scotch egg. The shrimp, chicken skewers, and calamari were all so tender and packed with flavor. We also got blueberry mojitos, with mint leaves picked fresh from the yard. All the fruits and vegetables are local, which is nice to see. The service was top notch. All of the employees were friendly and attentive. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. We will definitely be back for the memorable food!

Arrived after a long trip from CT and we were warmly welcomed by the owner. Sat down to complimentary sweet potato chips and fresh made bean dip. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. The Far East is an amazing martini… get it! The balsamic dressing on the salad is freshly made and its a great little pre meal salad. We had the pepper poppers… the garlic is amazing if you like garlic… the steak wrapped with mashed potato, which was great but next time I would ask for more yummy balsamic on the side. Lastly we had the crab cakes which were fresh tasting and so good. For dessert we had the raved about bread pudding, but needed some extra whipped cream(maybe ice cream!!!) because the creaminess makes it extra yummy. Can’t wait to come back! Next time we will try the duck confit and the Brussels. Go with more people so you can try more tapas… they are so filling and big so for the two of us we could only eat 3 total.

We were in here last weekend while in town and really enjoyed the food… andddd that’s about it. The staff are awkward and rightfully so, the manager I believe was literally running around barking orders and micromanaging every single person in there. He is a HUGE turn off from returning to this quaint little place and it’s such a shame. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly only after we told her what a turn off the manager was, I felt like she was afraid to be friendly because he would yell at her… not ok. Like I said huge shame he’s such a tyrant because the food was excellent. We had garlic poppers(so good!), duck confit(the duck was dry), and halibut(out of this world!) and enjoyed a few beers after a long day of driving. If you’re in the area and looking for a good bite go here but be warned the manager is a problem that just can’t be overlooked.
