Stopped here for a few new sheets and was impressed how organized the place was. It was very easy to find the size and color items that I was looking for, but was unimpressed by the staff. There were three or four women working who appeared to view the customers as more of a menace and were very curt and business like about showing us items before disappearing once again. I even tried to buy an item«secretly» so my mom wouldn’t see it(it was a Christmas gift) and they were barely willing to sneak the purchase in before my mom got to the register. Overall nice items for purchase, but the experience might have been better if I had just done my shopping online. Also-it is a bit difficult to find, so make sure you have your GPS or printed directions.

After years of sleeping on a full size futon, Mr. V and I decided it was time for a grown-up bed. What is a grown-up bed? For us it is a king size proper bed with memory foam and box springs(the first we have ever had). This also means new sheets. Many people told me about The Company Store and I was skeptical after reviewing their website. I bought a fitted sheet for $ 14 at Wal-Mart, I couldn’t imagine it being cheaper. I was wrong. First, you have to find the outlet store. After the many twists and turns of French Island, you arrive at the non-descript building and walk into what appears to be a normal bedding store. The prices were good if you are use to paying The Company Store prices from the internet but I’m still poor and 30% off 600 count sheets were still too expensive for me. Then, like a siren song there it was — clearance. Signs in clearance read, «50% off the lowest marked price» then the weekly special was an additional 30% off THAT price. Pinch me. I was tempted to buy things I didn’t need nor want and name some friend’s kid«Zack» just to buy the adorable little bumble bee shower robe with hood for $ 5. I settled on two king size fitted sheets, originally $ 50/each marked down to $ 3 each and a bed skirt which was marked down from $ 110 to $ 15(who would pay $ 110 for a bed skirt?). Clearance is hit or miss but when you hit, it’s a home run. If you need bedding, this is the place to go!

In the 2 months that I’ve been in LaX I’ve been here almost every other week. Everyone got sheets and comforters for the holidays and now I am filling request orders. For the first time in my life I am sleeping in something higher than 300 thread count and I didn’t spend an entire paycheck buying it.(Plus the ladies who work there really know their inventory). Warnings for the factory store: a) you take what you can get — if you see something you like get it then b) their comforters from the factory store don’t have the lifetime warranty(still good quality, just can’t get them refilled ad nauseam) c) be flexible if you are looking for a complete set. you probably won’t find what you are looking for from the catalog and you may have to get complementary sheets to make a complete set — but when it’s 600 thread count who really cares if you have a beige top sheet and rose duvet cover?
