I, normally, do not write review. Simple reason, I do not have time just like most people. I was surprised to see some people have had some bad experience with Dr. Lener and her office. My home is more than 3 hours drive from Dr. Lener office, however, I never plan to find another dermatologist. The office staff is helpful & polite. Dr Lener herself is a professional, honest and caring health care provider. She spends time listening to my health concerns and guides me making proper decisions. She always makes me feel her patients’ interest is her first priority. I am very carefully selecting my doctors & I do not see a doctor unless she/​he is one of the best. Dr. Lener is one of them, there is no doubt.

This was my second visit to Dr. Lener and I was very disappointed. My appt was at 11:10, and I arrived 15 minutes early, as is usually preferred at doctor’s appointments. I waited in the lobby for over 50 minutes with my two young children. Why am I asked to come a few minutes early when the doctor doesn’t have the courtesy to be on time (or even relatively close to being on time). When I eventually was called back I was told that there was still someone in front of me and it would be about another 20 minutes until the doctor would see me. So, I would have waited well over an hour, with two small children, in the middle of the day. This is incredibly disrespectful of my time and money. I walked out of the office and will not return. The staff and nurse were very nice (and I apologize if my frustration was taken out on them), but I think it is completely disrespectful to keep patients waiting for over an hour. My time is just as important as yours.

Totally disappointed and upset with Dr. Lener at the Dermatology Center in Ladara Ranch. Today, Friday February 7, I got a call from Dr. Lener’s office staff to cancel my appointment that was scheduled for next Friday, February 14. She said that my appointment was being rescheduled to May 2014 because I am a NEW patient. When I told her that my NEW patient appointment was a rescheduled appointment that was originally scheduled for January 7, 2014, (made in September 2013), she said that her records show that the appointment was made on December 20, 2013. I told her that was when I called to change the appointment, due to the fact that my work schedule changed. Honestly, how many people can know exactly what their schedule will be in 4 month??? Bottom line she could not find that information in her system and the next NEW patient appointment is May 2014. I think it is crazy that I was called to move my appointment out 3 more months. Completely disappointed with Dr. Lener and her staff, will not be rescheduling.

Very disappointed with the service I received from not only Dr Lener, but also her very rude office staff. I called and asked that Dr Lener call me back to discuss a personal problem and her staff called me back to tell me Dr Lener would only talk to me if I made an appointment. I explained that I wanted to talk to her first to find out if I needed to come in again and could she please call me again. Again — her staff called back and said I could only talk to MY DOCTOR if I made an appointment.
Seems like this office cares more about their money than they do about their patients. And we wonder why insurance rates are increasing. Such a shame that a doctor can’t take the time to call her patients. I will obviously be finding another doctor and completely discourage anyone from using Dr Lener

Dr Lener is not only the best dermatologist I have ever seen but she is one of the best docs ever. She has the best bedside manner, listens to you, answers any questions you have and does not rush you out of the office. The only problem I have is with the two front desk staff they are NOT friendly at all and seem as if they hate their jobs. I have been going there for years and I would not go any other place.

Im Scottish irish and spent my 20’s using tanning beds (bad idea!) so seeing a dermatologist on a regular basis is a must. It’s hard to strike a balance between a «cut happy» doc and an overly optimistic doc who suggests you wait and watch everything. Dr. Lener is amazing! I have to say other than paediatrician Dr Miller of Laguna Beach, she has the most outstanding bedside manor. She’s gentle, explains what she’s doing, remembers past conversations, is patient and gentle with kids and beyond thorough. I have found my skin doc!!!

It took me several years of seeing bad dermatologists before I found Dr. Lener. She is awesome! Great bedside manner, good listener, kind and conservative. If you don’t have PPO insurance, she is a bit expensive but totally worth it. I have sent my whole family and some friends to see her and everyone LOVES her! She is the best I have found in OC.
