Ate here for lunch and it was so delish. Had the shrimp and fish basket and can’t wait to go back. They don’t skimp on your food!

We moved to Summerville in April and spent a lot of time downtown in Charleston. This past weekend, we saw Gilligan’s on the way to the air base and decided to stop in and try it. The hostess was very accommodating and allowed us to sit in front of the fish tank when my daughter decided she wasn’t walking away from it. The waitress came to take our drink orders right away, brought our food out quickly(toddler food came out almost right away, awesome!) and refilled our drinks before we even drank half of them! The staff was very friendly and they gave us tips on other things to do in the area that we haven’t gotten to doing yet. The she crab soup was wonderful, my husband had the fish tacos and loved them. They substituted a different side in place of the rice without question or extra charge.

This is my go to place for oysters. Always a great price and super fresh. Even got a few with some little pearls in them last time I went. They also have a pretty good assortment of fish and other seafood as well. Haven’t tried any of their fish but I’ve picked up shrimp and scallops here before and they were great. Awesome local place. Think I’ll grab myself some oysters tonight.

I got to try the little take out place inside. ITWASGREAT! Why was it great? Well, since the Anchor Line closed over on Folly, I’ve been searching for good cheap seafood. I know, you’d think that would be everywhere in Charleston, but it’s not. We have a ton of touristy joints that charge you a butt load for basic seafood. Anyway, this place strongly goes against that. I think the most expensive thing on the menu was maybe $ 10. They let you choose your fish from the seafood market next door, then they fry it up or grill it up for you. I got the Whiting, hush puppies, collards, and red rice for $ 7.99.
