MYDOGWASKILLEDBYANOTHERTENANT’S DANGEROUSDOG. NOTSAFEFORKIDSORPETS! The first weekend of Sept., my dog was killed in the parking lot here by another tenant’s dog. The other tenant’s dog leapt from his open, parked truck, ran across the lot, and sunk it’s teeth into my 35-lb rat terrier mix and wouldn’t let go. I tried to separate them, but I couldn’t. It was bloody, violent, and traumatic. As my dog lay bleeding in the parking lot, I could hear some of the gathered crowd saying they could see her organs hanging out of her wounds. It was a nightmare. My dog was always leashed and under my control. Because of another tenant’s dangerous dog, I lost my sweet, gentle pet. And it could just as easily have been a small child who lost its life that afternoon. The other tenant moved out. I am still trying to recover the cost of my vet bills(even though I don’t even have my dog anymore), my own medical bills and a week’s worth of lost wages because of the trauma of the incident. My neighbors were very kind and thoughtful. The Quarters, however, never acknowledged my loss, and never expressed any kind of concern over the incident. I’ve been living here for nearly 2 years and used to really enjoy the friendliness of the staff here, but I sure haven’t seen much of them over the past month and a half. I guess the most important thing is this: THEYRENTTOTENANTSWITHDANGEROUSDOGS. PLEASEREMEMBERTHISIFYOUHAVESMALLCHILDRENORPETSANDARECONSIDERINGRENTINGHERE. I don’t want to see this happen to anyone else.
