The food? Excellent. The drinks, eh, a little over priced but still has ice cold beer and good mixed drink, Why only one star? One word, Disrespect. Minding my own business, while the rest of my group was on the dance floor, someone thumped me in the back of the head. I had a horrible headache, hence why I was sitting at the table and not on the dance floor. So someone thumping me on the back of the head was the equivalent of a sledgehammer. I calmly stood up and approach the man who did it and told him to please not do it again. Apparently, this man is the owner. Mr. Aces Pub owner, not only thought it was funny that I should take it seriously that a man I didn’t know was thumping the back of my head, but that I had the nerve to question him about being the owner. I was under the impression the place was owned by someone else, this is beside the point. owner or not, ADULTS don’t randomly thump other people in the back of head, especially if they have never so much as said hello to them. His response was if I Didn’t like it, I could leave. My response. Ok! I gathered my belonging and started to walk out the door. When I told my wife what had happened, she of course wanted to have words with him. He denied thumping me in the head and acted as though I was in the wrong for not allowing him to just thump me in the back of the head and laugh about it like his cronies did. My wife was almost as upset about the childish behavior as I was, but I was already fed up and ready to go. I can’t imagine the amount of money that we have put in this mans pocket over the last two years, but I sure hope he makes it last, be cause we will not spend another penny in that place. The food there is excellent, but the behavior of the owner ruined that place for us. If we’re going to spend money for a burger, even McDonalds wouldn’t allow this. I guess if you own a bar you can act any way you like… I wonder why the people in our family, that own bars, don’t act so childish.

I don’t know if I have ever walked out of this place not reeking of cigarette smoke. That being said, there is always a crowd here and it’s hard not to meet someone new, even if you aren’t trying. In warmer weather it is a hangout for many a biker. They come in the winter too, but are harder to spot (not really) without the bike in the lot. Avoid them if there is a band. The cover is something like $ 10 on those nights and the band is generally not good. Every other night, you can walk in and there is no cover charge. They also have several TVs that are always tuned to one sport or another.
