Unfortunately I ordered online! I got a call about 30 mins later asking if I was at(we will call address a) adress a I said no I’m at(agin this will be adress b) adress b. the man on the phone then asked what I ordered. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice and chicken Lomain. He asked the last 4 of my debit card number he says the one he has don’t match. He then shows up at my house(adress b) also the whole time he keeps telling me that they don’t take online orders. um I ordered online the money came out of my bank. I even went as far as to show him my banking app where they had removed the amount. The email conformation. Ect. Ect. In the end I got my food after he argued with me for 15 min on my porch, telling me how they don’t take online orders but yet has my food in the car wich I strictly ordered online!!! AHHHHHHAHHHHHHHHH. I have never been more displeased with a restaurant. To be honest as I write this I havnt even opened it yet. never again!

I ordered delivery last week, and not only did it take them an hour to deliver ACROSSTHESTREET, but the food was burned, tasteless, and the crab Rangoon had no crab. Save your money!

When I first move to Lafayette, I had no idea what was good and what wasn’t. I was willing to try anything and this place delivered — which is handy when you are unloading a moving van. the menu was pretty straight forward and standard run-of-the-mill chinese food fare: rice, lo mein, etc. But what caught my eye was the sweet and sour shrimp. Most places offer sweet & sour pork or chicken and that’s about it. So I ordered that and some fried rice, my wife got the S&S pork. The guy delivered it quickly, but was just as fast to leave(almost couldn’t tip the poor guy). Finally, my moment to taste Lafayette’s China Moon offering was at hand… What the devil was this in my styrofoam container? Somehow«sweet and sour shrimp» translates into«Shrimp Doughnut.» No joke it was a doughnut with 2 pieces of shrimp in it. ABSOLUTELYDREADFUL tasting and the texture was appalling. The«fried rice» was a yellow mess and not a fried rice I’ve ever had before. What lay before me was a sham. This was no more chinese food than taco bell being authentic mexican food. In fact, I should have had Taco Bell. Cheaper and at least I expect it not to taste like real food. All in all, there was no redeeming quality of the meal delivered. Perhaps it was an off night, but it will be the last for me.

Not much to look at, as it is the ONLY thing left in the strip mall, but it is the BEST Chinese take out ever! Hong, the lady and owner who answers the phone never forgets anyone, remembers order preferences from even long ago, and is the sweetest! I was amazed when our second contact with the place was over the phone and she REMEMBERED us! Wow! No one does that anymore! All the food is really good and they substitute items or delete things you don’t like– no problem. Favorites: the House Special fried rice, the steamed broccoli, the Egg Drop Soup, and the Fried Dumplings! The shrimp egg rolls are great, too! They deliver, but you’d miss out on seeing Hong! You can eat in, as well. «Hidden gem»!
