Outstanding way to beat the heat & humidity on a summer day! The hardest part is figuring out what to choose. They have rum, coconut rum, everclear, and more!

Holy Beezneez, please make the stop here. Took some convincing to get my friends off the path to New Orleans. In the end, I’m glad we stopped. I got a liquid marijuana and it’s one of the most flavorful and delicious drinks I’ve ever had. Would recommend. Great prices too, fast service. The piña colada flavor was great too.

I’m going to start this review by stating that I’m not going to finish this review. This was my first time stopping at Cupid’s and my experience was iffy, with a chance to be great. I stopped on the way back to Houston for two«to go» gallons since TX daiquiris are sub par. I’ll update my review probably midway through one of those gallons. First off, the flavors, there’s a banner in front and on the side of the shop, roughly about 7×7 ish feet filled with random flavors, concoctions and categories of daiquiris. My advice, check their website and figure out what you want before you get there to avoid staring at the sign in awe for 20 mins. Also don’t think that you’ll just go inside and figure it out there… no sir, drive through only. Second, speed: They weren’t extremely slow, but weren’t exceptionally fast either. That may be because I had what I would consider a large order so the speed is not an issue to me but they did get one of my orders wrong and replaced it rather quickly. Third taste: In addition to the two gallons I ordered two cups to have right then, the problem with this is while mine was great, my wife’s was not so great. It was pretty syrupy and lacking in alcohol. I’m thinking maybe they rushed out her replacement since the original was wrong but who knows. Either way I’m thinking once we crack open the gallons the stars will go up. More than likely I’ll stop here again!

Imagine your neck of the woods here in America, dotted liberally with coffee shops on every corner. And they’re drive-thrus. And they’re busy at all hours of day and night. Part of the culture of the people, if not necessarily the fabric of the community. Little boxes, made of ticky-tacky… Now close your eyes and imagine all of that real estate taken up by coffee shops replaced with… DAIQUIRI shops. What? YES! Huh? You heard RIGHT! Such is part of the magic of Lafayette, Louisiana, I found. Among the myriad shops all around the metro area, Cupid’s was the first I saw, the most central which I passed most driving around, and the one that I finally had to break down and try. This joint has a menu of flavor options a mile long, and is busy essentially from sun-up to well past sun-down. Multiple sizes, too. We pulled up to order on one side, looped around to the other to pay, and received our styrofoam cups with unopened straws taped to the top(safety first, right?). From there, we headed back to the hotel parking lot and sat sippin’ like they were Icees and it was 1987 — like the definition of a not-so-adult lazy summer, but with a White Russian daiquiri in hand. Awesome. If you go to Lafayette, get a drive-thru daiquiri, and make it a Cupid’s.

Yummy daiquiris. The caramel cadbury crème egg, while not very strong(get some extra vodka shots in it) was amazing, not too cloyingly sweet like a lot of the mudslide-type daiquiris I’ve tried in the past. The prices are right, too. They had some interesting daiquiri names too lol…

I love LA for it’s daquiris and it is necessary for me to have a spiked frosty beverage every chance I am east of our Texas border. i have hit a few locations that have been less than impressive but let me just say that this place impresses! Let’s start with the names. On my first visit(oh yeah, i now have a punch card for that coveted 10th freebie), I had the«leg spreader.» It was not overly sweet and packed a nice little punch. I wanted to try the«jigga juice» but apparently it has coconut rum. No go. I have subsequently been back to try the«hot sex» which was like a fresh squeezed grape fruit drank! Like having a healthy dose of Vitamin C and a buzz! Oh, another great name«b-slap.» No, seriously. If you’re curious to what goes in these styrofoam cups, they have a binder with all the ingredients ready to explain to your heart’s fancy. Plus, apparently all the drinks are custom«blended» upon order so I suppose I can order that«jigga juice» with just regular rum next time. Service is quick. Really quick. Been by when the line has been five or so cars deep and it went lickety-split. Now remember… don’t drink and drive… And this is drive through only!
