If you have 10 minutes on your way to work and want to grab coffee and toast, they won’t be able to do it. I tried this morning, there was no one in line, and the barista said she would try her best. I had to ditch the hope of toast I’d paid for, and chase the bus to make it.
If you are looking for a place to socialize, work, or relax where time is no issue, community takes priority, and you really don’t care if they swap your order (which has happened to me twice), it’s a great little coffee shop. Coffee is tasty, pastries are decent, and prices are moderate.

My favorite coffee shop in Tippecanoe County.
One of my best friends, who is also a student at Purdue, recommended Fuel, and I’m so glad she did. Disclaimer: I’m not a coffee fan, but I appreciate
a good tea and hot chocolate. I love this coffee shop for that reason– they do the little things right.
One of my favorite beverage menu items is their hot chocolate. They have two types– regular and caliente. Very delicious flavor, but the greatest part is that, not only do they have whipped cream, but you can get marshmallows too. Very simple but I personally love that touch and rarely find that option on the road.
I have picked up lunch and pastries here also. I’ve liked everything enough, ranging from their sandwiches to cookies. Drinks for sure are why I return though.
Also happy with the cleanliness– the tables are typically clean & I’ve always been pleased with their private bathrooms. Very well-​done coffee shop.

I like that this is one of the coffee shops in downtown Lafayette that has a decent amount of natural light throughout. The baristas are always friendly and the coffee is good too. The only thing that can get difficult is the internet slows down when the place is full, but that is expected of most busy shops.

This is my go-​to coffee shop. Comfortable atmosphere, great bagels, and I’m addicted to their Tanzanian Peaberry — I go through a pound a week, without fail.
