This is a great local place for kids. We actually had a birthday party here and it was very nice. There are plenty of hands on activities for kids. The really cool thing is if you become a member here you can use that membership to get into other museums for free. Like the Science & Industry Museum in Chicago.

Best place for kids in greater Lafayette/West Lafayette! Buy a membership if you live close, it’s good at Chicago science museums as other noted… which is a DEAL! Nice hands on stations, fun learning toys and great friendly staff. Check hours, I think it’s T, Th, F and sat 10 – 1 or 2. Great PLACE!

I did not actually go into the museum and look around. I am sure it is nice but small.
Here is the deal though. If you buy a family membership you can get basic entrance to all the big science museums in Chicago. That means you pay for your membership the first time you use it.
So far I have used my card to go to the: Field Museum of Natural History, the Science and Technology Museum, The Alder Planetarium, and I am looking forward to going to the Surgery Museum when it is warm enough to walk around afterward.
If you are considering a trip to anywhere to see a science museum buy a membership here first. It will save you money and help the local kids science museum.
A win, win, win situation.
