Initials

Initials is an expensive boutique offering embroidery services. The location is convenient and the selection of items is pretty impressive, but as I said expensive. Embroidering has a flat charge of $ 12.50, whether it is purchased in the boutique or not.
I accompanied a colleague to pick up an order and the service she received was poor. Long story short, she picked up a men’s travel bag and the font of the embroidery (three initials) didn’t look right; the D looked like an O. Anyway, owner was not willing to discount her re-​order or offer any type of resolution. Her opinion was, don’t commit to the font if you don’t like it, which is fine, if you can preview the font in the letters you’re selecting, but you can’t, so you don’t know if you like it until you’ve already ordered (and purchased) the item. On top of repurchasing the travel bag and embroidery order, my colleague was ordering another Christmas gift and has purchased countless embroidery gifts from the store. While the embroiderer agreed that the font made the initials unclear, the owner was adamant that she didn’t see it the same way and it is not a big deal. It was an unfortunate and unsatisfying experience to say the least.
