Dr. Himel has been my optometrist for many years and he and the staff have always been friendly, professional, and accurate in billing and costs. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been very knowledgeable, the wait time for your appointment is always very short, and Dr. Himel does a great job of explaining his findings and recommendations.

**Seems they have better billing people in place. Linda got back to me and confirmed they don’t know how the bill got generated but it was not valid. I appreciate the fast response I got from them — one of the better people employed there. Update to last review — despite not being a patient since Oct, 2011 I received a bill today for $ 304. The date of service is August 7, 2015. Interesting and once again a glaring example as to why I stopped going there. I had major billing issues(as previously noted) almost every time I went, and was billed for Optos eye scans I never had. Yet, billing a customer for a visit that never occurred? How unethical can one get? I now have to spend more time trying to get errors corrected from a practice I have not stepped foot in for almost 4 years. Reinforces why I left and makes me glad I did!

I’m a little bit torn on how to rate this place. I think the eye doctor my wife and I saw there was excellent and the front desk was friendly. The problem we have is with a lack of follow-through with the front desk. We have had 3 incidences where they have said they are going to do something but then don’t do it. First, my wife had gone in to see the doctor and the office was to bill our insurance for the appointment. We just got a bill from them, 8 months after her appointment, and we have come to find out they never got with our insurance company to request payment. Second, for my appointment, the front desk told me that they would fax my annual eye exam information to my lasic eye surgeon’s office. I am required to do this for free touchups if they are ever needed. Six months later I go to my lasic eye surgeon’s office for a consultation and I come to find they never did this. I asked them about it and they said it wasn’t done because they needed a release form. They never mentioned this to me earlier when they said they could fax it over, nor did they call or email me to fill out a release form once they realized they needed one from me. Lastly, after I emailed them the release form, I asked them to call or email me to let me know that the fax had been sent. That was over a week ago and I have not received a reply. Once again, I have to spend more of my time to make sure they do what they say they are going to do. I have lost my confidence in this office so I’ll be looking for a different place to go.

We’ve been taking our daughter here for two years now. She was struggling in school and failed the school vision screening. I first took her to Target, and they said her eyes were fine. Another year of struggling, another failed screening, and I brought her here. They diagnosed her right away, said she was severly farsighted, got her a proper prescription, and everything turned around for her! She no longer struggled in school because she could actually see what she was reading. The person who fits the glasses is super nice and good with kids. He was thoughtful enough to make sure even her glasses case was cute, and even snuck in a piece of chocolate in with her glasses. :) We’re so glad to have found this office!

First visit there, exam went quickly. Liked Dr. Nunn, testing seemed very thorough and she was knowledgeable and helpful. Very convenient if you live in the area. Added bonus, they accept my eyecare insurance.

I love this place! Dr. Nunn has been my eye doctor for years. Since I used to work at an Opthamologist’s office I think I have a good idea of what is good and what isn’t in this particular area. The staff here are super friendly and they have all the latest equipment like the machine that actually takes a photo of your retina! Dr. Nunn is wonderful, goes over all of the results with you and has a great bedside manner. Also a good place to buy sunglasses. I bought a pair of juicy couture sunglasses there a couple of years ago and just bought another pair this visit. They carry coach and lots of other great brands.
