Ive eaten at laura’s quite a few times they serve delicious plate lunches with a variety of foods to choose from daily the service is fast & friendly i would definately recommend it to anyone looking for good food for a reasonable price

Oh my goodness felt like I just ate at my granny’s house. Fried chicken, rice with this amazing gravy, butter beans, corn and hot roll. Oh so yummy and the ladies were so sweet. I love the south!
Now back to Austin where the food is great but southern charm is lacking.

Friendly smiles and welcomes from the second I walked in not only from the employees but from the customers happily waiting in line for service! The atmosphere reminded me of the pleasantries of my grandmothers kitchen I immediately knew the food was going to be good, I was wrong it was Outstanding! The Baked Turkey was cooked to perfection, seasoned with love, and the meat fell off the bone. I almost didn’t want to leave! not only is the food a delicacy the service is great and the portions
are enough for lunch and dinner. The quality of the food, the customer service, and friendly atmosphere makes the Laura’s II experience a instant classic in my book!

Laura’s II is a restaurant that should be added to your list of Restaurant’s to visit while in Lafayette, LA. The shrimp was well seasoned, the corn macheaux was great, and the complimentary rice and gravy was tasty and spicy enough to clear your nasal passages. Meeting Madonna and the other ladies that were so eager to provide great service and be patient with tourist was a great compliment to great food.

I hadn’t eaten here in some time. So that being said I got the Baked Turkey Wing, white rice, corn machoux and white beans. The beans were very good as for the turkey it was well seasoned, but a little dry. The lady working the line was very nice. I do wish the plate had more food considering the price paid.

Excellent. Staff was very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Fried Pork Chop & Stuffed Turkey Wing were very good. Best cabbage I may have EVER had. And the Rice & Gravy was amazing.

Lets just say, if you want soul food, this is the place to go! There’s chickens, pork chops, turkey wings, turkey necks, beans, greens the list goes on and on. there’s something different everyday. The staff here is nice, but the place is kind of old, but not bad. I can’t wait to get my belly filled again here!

Tuesday they serve white beans so that’s my day to visit. They serve fried chicken, fried pork chops, stuffed baked turkey wings, meatball stew and a few other things but the white beans are the ticket!

Soul food, BBQ, friendly service… You’ll get all three and a food coma at Laura’s II. Walk in around noon and there’s sure to be a long line, but it goes fast. You can’t go wrong with anything, but the stuffed turkey wing and fried catfish are two of my favorites.
Only negative marks are for the dated dining area and infrequent bussing of tables.
