McKinney’s Flowers is well respected in this community. I don’t often order flowers because I think most florists are way over-​priced for what you get. But this was a very special circumstance that I felt deserved a professional touch and I walked away VERY disappointed in my recent order.
I called to place an order for my husband who is hospitalized indefinitely and felt like I spared no expense in ordering a lovely fresh flower arrangement, with balloons, to be delivered that day. The person I spoke with was very nice and helped me decide the ‘perfect’ flowers — mums, hydrangeas, eucalyptus — to brighten his room. My call was at roughly 1:00 pm. I agreed to spend over $ 80. My flowers were delivered in less than 2 hours and while they were beautiful, the balloons were missing. I called and told them and they were apologetic, offered to bring the balloons to me, which I declined and asked that they not charge me and we’d be good. This was on a Thursday afternoon.
By Saturday/​Sunday, the flowers looked pathetic. On Monday they went to the trash. These were not exotic flowers! I can’t understand why they lasted such a short time. I wonder if this was a pre-​made arrangement that had been around several days before I ordered… I’m disappointed because I can go to Target and buy a bouquet that I cut and arrange myself and it will last a week or more. And for far less than the money I spent on this arrangement!

THE BEST place in Lafayette to get flowers. They do deliveries or you can just pick up your order. The staff is friendly and they make wonderful floral arrangements. The best bet for your money in Lafayette.
