Our second time to this delicious tapas spot. We came for a drink and stayed to be reunited with the croquetas de patatas we had gotten our first time– crispy garlic potato balls served with roasted garlic and the tasty side of mojo picon(a ridiculously tasty romesco sauce.) The bartender Ryan was welcoming and very talented at crafting our bomb ass cocktails(Seriously awesome. Seriously crafty.) The ambiance is a little dark and cozy, while being spacious and hip. Looking forward to moving into this building to forever bathe in the mojo picon sauce.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Lafayette. Great vibes, hella cozy. The mixologists really know their craft and the tapas never disappoint. Stopped by last night for an old fashioned, it was lit as usually. Accompanied w/an order or calamari that suplexed my palate with flavor

Warm atmosphere and a very affordable Happy Hour. If you stay for dinner, the wine list is huge and the food, albeit heavy, is great to share. Duck fat fries are a crowd pleaser!

My favorite restaurant in Cajun country happens to be a Spanish tapas place! Amazing cocktails! Intoxicating atmosphere! Romantic! Cozy! Fun! A great place for a lazy 3 hour meal. Savor it! The quail eggs and bacon wrapped dates are a must! The red & the white sangria are superb!

A good variety of tapas and it is all good. The entrees are a little expensive for what you get but it is all good.

I’ve only been once I liked the concept and the atmosphere of the place, it was expensive my only complaint was I got a steak that is cooked in a bag of hot water, it would have been probably been the best steak I had ever eaten had it not been so salty. I would go back but not with my husband he did not like the place at all.

Incredible. Sit at the bar. James is one of the best bartenders I’ve ever seen. He truly cares about the art of making drinks and they were phenomenal. By far the best old fashioned I’ve ever had. His suggestions were spot on too. I just let him bring what he thought was the best and it was a great experience!

Pamplona has this old world feel and I say that in the best way possible. The décor is very reminiscent of old Spanish tapas bars with its black lacquers floor and bar top to its exposed brick construction. That translate to the food. Traditional tapas fair, done right! If you’re looking for a hearty meal, I recommend the Cornish hen with braised greens though, every plate is a hit with me. I also enjoy the duck fat fries. The wine menu decent, and they also offer ultra-premium liquor brand. The dishes are a little on the pricey side so, bring your wallet. Service is speedy and the tempo of the restaurant is very upbeat.

My second favorite place in Lafayette. Get the hangar steak and manchengo salad if you like to avoid fried stuff like I do — both excellent. I like the ciabatta appetizer and flan dessert too — they also have the best coffee in Lafayette !!! Vibrant bar and nice selection of Spanish wines — we have noticed most lafayette places offer mostly California wines unfortunately … But not here! Worldly selection indeed!

Everything we ate and drank was amazing! My husband, myself and another couple just took our time and ordered different small portion dishes and drinks as the night went on. No one was rushing us or wanting us to give up our table they just let us enjoy our dinner and the conversation. I think we were there for almost 3 hours. Drinks: Sazerac Throwback(super strong and a drink that you sip on) and the peacemaker and painkiller were sweeter drinks and very tasty Menu: you need to get everything we ordered because it was amazing! Marinated olives(my husband loves olives) Morc quail eggs Mac n Gouda Six charbroiled oysters Duck fat fries Duck confit flatbread duck breast For dessert we got this amazing bread pudding and vanilla ice cream. I will definitely be going back!

DRINKS: — The drink happy hour is ok(all day Wed. and Tues.-Friday from 2 – 7. The $ 4 cocktail special = house liquor and coke, juice. Not really great for me BUT $ 3 wine?! Yay! FOOD: The 25% off Tapas only applies to the traditional tapas not the small bites which is a bit confusing. –Garlic Shrimp.($ 9 Louisiana shrimp pan-sauteed in a spicy garlic broth) I think only cam with 5 shrimp but THATSAUCE! OHTHATSAUCE! We kept the bowl and dipped every in it! — Fried Calamari.($ 11 Spanish-style fried calamari with jalapeño lemon aioli) not the best I’ve every had and what’s with the lack of marinara sauce? Thank goodness for the Garlic Shrimp Sauce! — Mixed Green Salad.($ 6 Fresh mixed greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette, cherry tomato, red onion, and cucumber) okay size and taste. meh.
— I think we had the Sausage Mushroom Spinach Flattbread.($ 10 Spinach, beef sausage, shaved fennel, and wild mushrooms cooked in a bechamel sauce) but I couldn’t taste the sausage. Whatever we had was loaded with veggies and freaking delicious! 83×3 in squares for a good price. NOTE: The waiters are masters at Up-selling! Beware of their talents! haha It looked nice but compared to tapas bars in Houston not worth the price. I wouldn’t go back.

Love, love, love One of me and my husband’s favorite date night indulges. We’ve always had great customer service from the hostess to the bus person. Our meals have consistently been on point when it comes to presentation and flavor. The sangria(red and white), it’s just great. Grab a pitcher of it and share it. Some of my favorite tapas would be the goat cheese croquettes, blood boudin with quail egg, ceviche, calamari, garlic shrimp, and duck fat fries! This Saturday we tried an entrée and salad to change things up. THEYWEREAMAZING. I had the beef carpaccio and it was nice and light. My husband had the filet entrée… it was seriously THEBEST filet I’ve had. It was pricey at $ 42, but I would have it again. I seriously cannot rave enough about pamplonas for a nice date night.

Umm maybe I didn’t order the right thing. We came for Paella during lunch and they said it would take 45 – 1 hour to prepare. Well that was out. So I settle for the small plate which included 5 pan seared shrimp. and then I ordered a small bowl of the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese. Asked if they had bread for the shrimp dish because it had a soup base of some sort and I’m thinking complimentary but nooooo, an extra 4 $ to my tab didn’t find out till I got the tab. Bread and oil wasn’t any better than Carrabbas. The Mac and cheese was bland I took two bites. The shrimp were tasty but a small small portion. Left disappointed for the price I paid. Maybe if it was a bit cheaper I would’ve been satisfied because the quality and quantity wasn’t up to par.

The kitchen’s rudeness ruined our dinner. One of my dinner companions found his chicken to be underdone and asked the waitress to have it cooked longer. She took it to the kitchen but returned with it in the same condition. The kitchen had refused to cook it longer because it «is supposed to be like that.» Even if it is kitchen policy to serve underdone chicken(yuck), it is plain bizarre to refuse to cook it to a customer’s preference. Aside from that, the food was fine, but not willing to risk dining there again any time soon.

Pamlona used to be a 5 star in my book. I’ve been several times and love the menu, but mostly appreciated the inventive /evolving cocktail menu. There was some real talent /craft behind the bar. However, having drinks tonight it appears someone has overhauled the cocktail menu and instead of a few select originals they have twice as many of the standard /everyday cocktails. This is disappointing on its own, but not horrible… if not for the fact that the drinks are not well made and the management has decided to lower the alcohol quality in those menu drinks while still keeping the quality cocktail prices from before. Sorry, but $ 8 for an Old Fashion made with Jim Beam is ridiculous. Hope the food has not suffered the same fate…

Enjoyed the visit as always I have come to the conclusion the food is manufactured using ancient processes my mind cannot interpret yet! The food here is always a gift as I gave to my sister for her 36th birthday a awesome bread pudding. I want to make this a jelly belly bean and walk around with it in my pocket as a snack.

Have been here three or four times now and it consistently meets or exceeds expectations! Inside the restaurant is dimly lit and very rustic offering three areas of tables and a large bar. The walls are adorned with artwork featuring a bull fighting theme -(hello– of course — Pamplona is famous for this) House specialty drinks range from a delightful sangria to all manner of fun libations and a fairly large selection of absinthe. The food is the real show stopper here. The small plates are the way to go and order as many as you can stand for your table! The bacon wrapped dates, escargot(!!) beer braised pork cheeks, Andalusian lamb sliders, pork belly flat bread(beauty with onion and apple slow cooked and melt in your mouth fabulous) are all to die for! Ceviche, garlic shrimp and a hose of other seafood options round out the menu which also features meat and salads. As if you could — save a little room for dessert — the churros are great but the coffee is even better!!! A must stop in Lafayette
