If you’re looking for an oak dresser, buffet, table, armoire, hall tree, end table or even stained glass windows Ricks is the place to go. After wandering into every antique store in Multnomah Village, we headed off for Lafayette and Ricks. I’m always amazed at the quantity and quality of antique furniture and after walking aisle after aisle I found the exact dresser I wanted. and it was on sale. They let me put it on hold so I could come home and empty out the big old colonial maple dresser I’m replacing it with. I’m moving into a smaller apartment and, while I need the storage, a long dresser has no place to perch in the new place. I bought an 8 drawer high dresser-tall and narrow and about 75 years old out of english dark oak. I’ll pick it up in a couple of weeks — just wish I had someone I could give the maple dresser to besides goodwill!

Do you need an antique sideboard? Well, how would it be if you had thirty to chose from? Maybe you need an antique hall tree. You could go to a «normal» antique mall and find one or maybe even two if you’re lucky, but perhaps you should instead visit to Rick’s and take a look at his hall trees. He probably has at least twenty. Rick’s prices are somewhat high, but the selection is outstanding – you really can’t beat it. I don’t know of any other place within 100 miles of Portland that can offer the same. It’s worth the drive. And then you can poke over to Carlton and have some wine!
