My mother has been at Rosewalk Commons for 4 years. At this point it would upset her to move to a new place, but I can’t recommend it for anyone else. She is 91 and has some dementia, so anything new is an upset. The dining room has been the most helpful over her time there if you don’t count the hot lunch dumped in her lap last week. The staff turnover has been difficult for both of us. I’m never sure she’s getting what we pay for because she can’t remember, and there usually is nobody available to speak to. Housekeeping doesn’t have enough help, and I must carefully check her bill every month because it is a surprise when it is correct. It could be a wonderful place, but it has gone downhill terribly in her time there. Three different directors in the four years have not improved conditions. I know new places have opened in the area, and I may need to move her and deal with the consequences. Sad. One month after my previous review has seen good improvement. There were some problems that the new director discussed with me. I appreciate the actions taken. Housekeeping has replaced the missing help, and this month’s bill is correct. I am feeling very positive about our experience once the new director saw what I was concerned about. I recommend speaking up whenever there is a concern. Most people want to do a good job. I appreciate the hard working staff.
