I have had the pleasure of being both an employee and client at skin solutions and only have the best to say. Lynn is the best at her craft and she does it all, like actually. Whether its a quick clean up for eyebrows or a facial, what ever you need she will do it with finesse. My skin isn’t necessarily bad, but occasionally I do suffer from the annoying pimples and small acne bumps. After a facial from Lynn my skin feels smoother and brighter and within a couple of days my skin is clear from everything! I feel like I don’t even have to wear foundation the next couple of days because of how even my skintone looks. She makes every customer feel like they are getting the royal treatment and makes the experience relaxing and comfortable.
As an employee, Lynn taught me so much about skincare and customer service. As her office assistant, I did help manage her schedule and it is crucial that you book in advance because she can be booked solid for months and even till the next year! She has many great regular customers, but she will always find time to schedule in new customers as well.
When you go to Skin Solutions, you can’t help but also notice that they have a nail service as well. Mavis is friendly, funny, and makes the experience of getting your nails done a fun experience. I am fairly simple with my nails, but I decided to do shellac for the first time with Mavis and wow was I not disappointed. My nails stayed and looked great for a month afterwards and the best part… no chipping!
All in all, if you are looking for high quality service, amazing results, and great company look no further than Skin Solutions! I will always be a loyal customer and will forever be thankful for the work experience.

Lynn is amazing!!! I’ve gone here for years now and not once has she ever disappointed. not only is she sweet and friendly, I always leave feeling great about my skin. I used to go in for facials all the time but now that I’m in college I get one every time I’m home for break which is every few months.
she knows a lot about skin care and uses only the best products. the days following a facial my skin always clears up and I look like a whole new person.
my one tip is to schedule ASAP! she is typically booked months in advance– probably because everyone knows how great she is.

Miss Lynn is a miracle worker!
She is THE reason my skin stays hydrated, maintains great complexion, and my brows stay wonderfully shaped.
She is so attentive, and will fix any skin blemish or problem. She knows that everyone has different needs and chemicals in their body, and caters patiently and carefully to each and every one of her patients.
She is so kind, and it that type of woman that will do everything in her power to make the best experience for you. Her facials are so relaxing — I’ve fallen asleep every time!
I don’t know what I would so without her magic!
The salon itself is so serene, EXTREMELY CLEAN, and so comfortable.
Also, Mavis will make your nails look great, and if you’re early or have extra time, there is a local jewelry artist there as well with some beautiful work!

I recently had an acne problem, to make it worse I was scheduled to have pictures taken in the coming week.
I immediately got in touch with Lynn and Skin Solutions. Her advice and counsel was simply perfect. I followed her directions exactly and saw immediate results… results within minutes. I’ve never had a more severe problem that has cleaned up so quickly in my life. Honestly, one of the best experiences.

Awesome facials with Lynn! Amazing nails with Mavis! Shellac process is wonderful and lasts forever! Love Skin Solutions — the best in the east bay!

I rarely go on Unilocal & waited awhile before I wrote this. I am pretty easy going, have had facials for 30 years & have never felt so uncomfortable with someone. She displayed «an attitude & demeanor» that was not conducive or pleasant for this experience. When I asked a couple of simple questions about the facial as she was working on me she showed minimal interest in answering my questions, until I repeated myself. Her interpersonal skills showed complete lack of interest. I have to say, I was «shocked» to learn she works with oncology clients. I have given this a lot of thought & I am sorry to say that the veterinary assistant that works with my dog is so much nicer that my experience with Ms. Nakaso.

I LOVE Skin Solutions!
I started going about a year or a bit more ago, just for my occasional upper lip and eyebrow waxes. Soon, I realized that Carmen was the woman I saw most often there. She’s amazing! Not only does she give me a great wax, but she just cleans up whatever else needs some a touch of waxing or tweezing for no extra cost! And she always remembers how sensitive my skin is, so she does as much as she can to keep it calm throughout the visit.
Plus, she’s just fun! We always talk about what’s going on in our lives and she makes me feel completely at ease.
Today, I went there for my first facial here (the teen acne facial), and it was the most relaxing experience I’ve ever had. I literally had to wake myself up at the end. And as usual, Carmen did a little bit extra and sent me home with three free sample sizes of skin products for my sensitive skin!
You really can’t go wrong with any of the ladies at Skin Solutions, but I would definitely recommend Carmen! :)

I have been to several disappointing nail salons around the area, and then I found Mavis at Skin Solutions. She does an outstanding job with my shellac manicures, and I’m pretty picky. She has great attention to detail and is also concerned with nail health. A bonus is that the place is incredibly clean and doesn’t have that weird chemical smell that so many nail salons have. I won’t be going back to any of the other places now!

I regularly see Mavis for manicures and pedicures. She is so nice and willing to accomodate when I need to make a last minute schedule change. She has every color or will get it if I want it. She also does Shellac which is AMAZING! My manicures always last two weeks without any chips. She also has a ton of Shellac colors by CND and Gelish. She also knows how to mix them to make other fantastic colors. I started going to Mavis last year and now my friends/​family members also go to her!

I absolutely love Skin Solutions! The workers were very nice and kind and not to mention funny and entertaining. I just got out of a relationship and let me tell you I have been a mess. I love that they told me that straight and didn’t beat around the bushes. Lynn gave great advice on my skin but more importantly Carmen saved my life! My bushes aka my eyebrows were about to take over my face. Carmen came to the rescue and changed the shape. They look fabulous and even darken my eyebrows! The funny thing is I went to the grocery store right after and out of all things, this hunk noticed my eye brows. AMAZING!!!

I have been seeing Lynn Nakaso at Skin Solution for 11 years now. I had all kinds of skin breakout problems related to pregnancy hormones, then after that needed my «pregnancy mask» controlled. I often get compliments on the quality of my skin and it is thanks to Lynn and her high level of care.

Sandra Martin is truly an artist – if you have a special occasion, wedding, or prom – Sandra will make you red carpet ready. She can also offer make-​up lessons and the woman knows her way around MY squirrely eyebrows. Don’t leave home without her – !

Skin Solutions also has the best mani/​pedi artist in the Bay Area! I go see MAVIS for all my nail needs! She pays such awesome attention to detail, has a great color selection, and keeps me coming back! I highly recommend Mavis for your next Pedicure, I guarantee her positive vibe and great service will get you hooked!
