This review is long overdue, like 24 years! I can’t believe my omission. Sorry, Dr. Z! I was first referred to him when my son(now 30) broke his wrist. Both the Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond and his pediatrician refused to set it, calling it ‘too complicated’. The pediatrician finally referred me to Dr. Zeman, who took care of it, no problem. He has all the equipment right there in his office, took the X-ray himself, and zip! we were out of there in 45 minutes with a cast, and a eventually a full recovery. His manner was so reassuring and confident, even a child in pain liked him. Then I tore some cartilage in my knee; Kaiser told me it was no big deal, to «live with it». From time to time when my knee was in just the right position, the pain would absolutely stop me in my tracks. Again, to Dr. Z… and the surgery he performed was immediately scheduled and completely took care of my problem. Next was my ailing 90 year old dad, who had back problems years in the making. A lifetime of care with Kaiser had resulted in no surgery when he was young enough to tolerate it… and no pain relief but endless pills. Dr. Z administered cortizone shots over a period of time, and made his last few years much more comfortable. Thank you so much, Dr. Z! I had learned my lesson. When one of our employees had a back problem, even tho we pay 100% for Kaiser for all of them, we send them instead to Dr. Z. Why waste your time with delay and a ‘wait and see’ attitude? So I am a FAN! His manner is so easygoing. His care is immediate. His office is jointly connected to an amazing physical therapy practice, and he can quickly walk through to make sure your therapy is going according to his plan. Amazing! I hope the change in our health care system doesn’t cause Dr. Z an early retirement! p. s. did I mention that he was a doctor to the Raiders? Even has a super bowl ring to show(my dad was an instant fan!) So don’t waste time if you are getting ANY run around from your health care provider… get yourself over to Dr. Z!
