10 pool tables for a $ 1 a play? Definitely the best pool hall around. It also recently became non-​smoking, and my nose doesn’t sense any lingering third-​hand smoke.
Draft beers are reasonably priced and you can get a standard 16 oz or a large 23 oz pour. Daily specials. If you aren’t feeling alcohol there’s not much else in way of options, just your standard Coke/​Pepsi line-​up. No coffee!
If you are hungry, beware that this is in fact a pool hall, not a 5 star restaurant. I’m pretty sure that all of their food is bought frozen and that their pizzas are the same kind my high school served on pizza Friday. (Which is exactly what I want to be eating well into my Saturday night.)
Sunday-​Thursday you basically have your pick of a table, at least for the first few hours after it opens. But on Friday and Saturdays it’s best to show up around when it opens to guarantee a spot.

I like that this place has pool tables and is way bigger then any other bar in Lafayette, however, because of the people who go there I will honestly not go again. A little sketchy and very smokey!

The smokiest place in town, by far. This reality strongly dictates their clientele. The bartenders and wait staff are very friendly but I won’t go back till Lafayette passes a smoking ban. I don’t think they’ll ever make the move voluntarily.

I went to The Vault for the first time last night and it is my new favorite place to go for a night out. The place is huge and is divided into 2 sections. The first section has a full bar that serves drinks as well as food. The other half of the building has maybe around 10 pool tables where you can play and have fun with your friends. Even on a Friday night, my friends and I were able to find a table to sit at for drinks and, later in the night, we snagged a pool table. The music was very good too. It wasn’t too loud, so I could comfortably talk with my friends. The Vault doesn’t have a dance floor or anything, so if you’re looking to dance, this might not be your scene. Also, the waitress we got was great. She was so friendly and recommended some great drinks.
tl;dr– The Vault is a great place to just hang out with your friends, get a few drinks, and shoot some pool.
