Toys R Us

We were greeted by a nice lady at the nearest register upon entering the store. They had great selections of toys and clothes, most of which were on sale. My kids had a blast picking out some toys, and when we made our purchase, we received the same curtesy that we were greeted with. Great experience!

I don’t expect a whole lot when I go into Toys R Us, but I still managed to be disappointed over my last two visits there.
My first visit followed my ordering a gift «site to store» for a friend’s baby shower. She had registered at Toys R Us, so I ordered an item to be sent to this location. I received an email saying it was ready to be picked up, so I went on the day it was ready. They insisted I ordered a young child’s bike and not a baby bathtub (???) and eventually had someone pull a bathtub from the back. They were not at all familiar with the system and were minimally apologetic for their lack of preparation.
The second visit was to buy a one year old a birthday present. It took us quite a while to find someone to help us, and there was a generally confused mess up by the registers once we found someone. The person who finally helped us was surprisingly quite helpful, and we found what we were looking for, but it took far too long to get to that point.
I wish the Toys R Us we had in town was more updated and a little bit nicer (you know, not next to an adult video store), but at bare minimum, I wish they had more helpful and motivated staff…
