University Spirit is conveniently located in Chauncey Square, close to campus. It’s in a corner between restaurants. Personally, I believe University Spirit is overpriced, with Purdue branded flats selling for $ 60 and Nike t-shirts for $ 25 and up. However, I know this is college-branded clothing and thus, pricy. University Spirit has a huge variety of clothing from Greek apparel and items, to club sports. They also have different college’s t-shirts so it’s very easy to find something that you need. Great for gifts or buying something for yourself. Never crowded, and generally quiet. Staff friendly and offers help frequently. There are sales when Purdue scores a lot of 3 pointers at home basketball games, and after Christmas breaks there are a lot of discounts on warm winter clothes.

Love the University Spirit store. It is the go-to for college apparel and greek gear on campus. During my years at Purdue I got all my Phi Mu apparel and accessories here. Paddles can be purchased as well. University Spirit also carries the Harry’s Chocolate shop merchandise which cannot be bought anywhere else. They custom make shirts and embroidered bags. They usually have a good turn around for your items. Prices are a bit steep for things but as an Alumni I prefer to shop here than the Purdue bookstore at times because of the Purdue Alumni Association member 15% discount. The often have tent sales as well so theres always an opportunity to get Purdue apparel at all prices.

When I was in college, in the 80’s, I shopped University Spirit because it always had EVERYTHING. They are a little pricey, but they items are«authentic» merchandise. Last fall I came back to West Lafayette to visit and pick up some items for a fellow alumni. We both work for the University of Illinois so our Purdue gear is especially important to us. I needed a unique shirt that no one else in town carried. University Spirit didn’t have it either, but they could make it for me and they did. Apparently this was an item I had thought up, a shirt for a pregnant Boiler that said«Baby Up», a play on our«Boiler Up» mantra. Anyway, one of their staff spent and entire hour with me, assisting with color, size and blocking. Their customer service is AMAZING!

Everything you could possibly want with the Purdue brand at decent prices. They have plenty of parking(in a shopping center). Tons of selection. Good prices(nothing seemed very expensive) and it as nice and quiet. I thought it was one of the better college shops. It’s always the one we hit up when in West Lafayette.

You can definitely tell that this is a University store. Most of the t-shirts and clothing were about twice what you’d pay for them just about anywhere else. But of course that’s why you go to University stores. for the ambience and the officially licensed over-priced merchandise. Service was good. We had several people ask if we needed help in the 30 minutes or so we were in there. Good location at the edge of the Purdue campus, so you can get the feel of everything without having to deal with the traffic snarls and one way streets.
