Great spot for after school treat, after dinner dessert, after study break. Dozen-plus flavors change all the time… while 30 different toppings are always available. Two hearty bowls with a pile of toppings runs $ 6 – 8 in total. Clean inside tables and comfy curbside seating too.

I absolutely hate coming here(and only do when bribing my son when shopping). First, $ 9 for two mini tubs of «ok» frozen yogurt is a little expensive. But it makes me even more irritated when it’s combined with the attitude of the workers. Never pleasant, always bored… annoyed. Today the Carmel dispenser wasn’t working properly. When I asked if it was broken the clerk replied«if you have to have it I’ll fix it»…“I replied yes, otherwise I didn’t want my yogurt”(I only like vanilla with Carmel)…so she proceeded to huff and puff and fix it. Beyond our yogurt melting there was now 3 – 4 people with their tubs in line. She slammed down the fixed Carmel plunger, I added Carmel and she continued to slam things(on the scale, off the scale, money drawer and change). I actually said out loud that she«didn’t need to slam everything». She wanted to make it clear that it was my request that held everyone up. Bottom line, I’ve had it with the attitude at this place and won’t be returning. I’ll get way better frozen treats at WF with nice cashiers prior to shopping.

My son loves this place. Ton of toppings on his 1 ounce of frozen yogurt. It’s like a bowl of candy with a hint of frozen yogurt. The choices of toppings is so vast. For parents, it’s a very reasonably priced frozen yogurt place. It’s always clean and well kept. I have bites of my son’s frozen yogurt and it’s good. There is a variety of frozen yogurt flavors with always a sugar free option(I feel sorry for those of you who can’t have sugar) and a dairy-free option.

Came here on lunch break. Great flavors and toppings. Avoid the out of school rush hour. Lots of kids! Lol

Delicious yogurt and toppings, especially if you like the non-fruit yogurts like cookie dough, cheesecake and chocolate. About 50 toppings, nice servers, a fun place to sit for 20 minutes. One of Lafayette’s best.

Great price and a fun place for families. That said, I’m totally spoiled by East Breezy in SF. This yogurt tastes like its full of chemicals and sugar.

Unilocal suggested I review this place because I searched for a yogurt shop when I was recently in Lafayette.(I wonder if they know what I ordered :-) This was THEBEST yogurt place I’ve ever visited. They have done it right. A staff person will get the sample for you, which is different. But it worked. They must have their reasons.(And the two staff members there were perfectly delightful.) Then I could get my own portions, which was fine. The yogurt was delicious. The array of toppings is set out beautifully, and is a wider range than I’ve seen anywhere. They had HOTFUDGE at the check out area which was actually warm. Very smart too, because of course we pay by weight. They also had marshmallows(OK, certainly made with GMO-corn syrup but in the moment I forget all about the GMO laden products) which hardly weigh anything. I don’t remember seeing any fresh fruit, but really, that’s where we get into the lipstick-on-a-pig thing. I don’t need to feel righteous by adding a couple of blueberries to make this treat healthier. The plain roasted almonds there suffice for a little balance. Lots of people crammed in the several tables in front of the store which prompted me to sit at another store’s table(thank you to that store owner.) This is a wonderful find for an occasional treat when I’m in the neighborhood.

Mmmm best blackberry frozen yogurt I’ve ever had. And it didn’t all melt away fast like most places.

For those with dairy allergies, there is always one non-dairy sorbet style soft serve on the right machine. Again, after school and weekends get crazy!

Pretty solid Fro Yo in the East Bay. Super creamy and excellent flavor selection. The toppings are really good too. I thought the price per pound was pretty affordable too. If I’m in Lafayette I will definitely go back.

Low Fat! No Sugar! Hey that’s great. Too bad it tastes like powdered chemical sludge. I took a couple bites and threw the rest away. It was that bad. I gave them two stars because one of the toppings were at least real oreos.

When I get froyo I get original tart and then top it with fruit. That’s about the healthiest you can make your froyo. The tart flavor was nice and wasn’t too tart and not too sweet so it had a good balance. Topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries made for a tasty snack on a hot afternoon. I believe it’s 49 cents an ounce so my yogurt came out at around $ 5 for the medium size cup. It’s your average froyo place but the toppings are fresh and the yogurt is tasty. Good option if you are in the area.

Best frozen yogurt I’ve ever had. Variety of flavors and doesn’t turn into soup quickly like other yogurt places. The place itself is clean, orderly, and the workers are nice. I can spend hours here. And I have.

This is my personal favorite place to get froyo. I love the flavors and all the fixin’s plus this yogurt doesn’t give me that weird after taste that some places do. I go here often and can’t wait to go back. I usually go for the tart, vanilla flavors and a couple times they had marshmallow and cake batter which were also very tasty. They usually always have the tart and vanilla, but switch out the other flavors. I put nuts, raspberries, and of course caramel on top. So yummy!

Tucked away in the same plaza as Whole Foods, Yogurt Shack seems to be THE family spot to go to on a Friday night. It’s your standard self-serve fro yo spot with about 6 flavors. Where it really gets interesting is when you get to the toppings! By far, one of the most extensive selections I’ve seen at a fro-yo place(and I’ve seen a lot!) They had some obscure candies like pretzel m&m’s, which is worth a star all by itself in my book. The toppings were also neat and the area around them clean As for the yogurt, I found the texture on par with some of the better yogurt places. I liked the fact that it didn’t melt right away and didn’t have an overly artificial after taste, like other places do. I ended up trying the coconut and red velvet, along with a bit of vanilla mixed in-and was happy with all my selections. It’s 42 cents an ounce and although they list their flavors up on the website, I found that on July 5th, it wasn’t accurate once we got there. Not a big deal, but if you’ve got your heart set on something, just be aware. Overall, Yogurt Shack is a cute little spot. Since I’m not around here too often I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but it’s a worth a stop for dessert if you’ve had dinner nearby. The Unilocal 100 Challenge!

Parking is tough given how crowded the shopping center is. Spacious and cool inside. Lots of flavor choices and one of the employees offered to give small sample cups. Favorite part — many many topping choices!

What’s with these self-serve froyo joints that allow you to fill up your own big cup but only allow employees to fill the sample cups? First world gripe, I know. I’m not losing sleep over it but wish I understood the rationale for that practice. Other than that, the place is immaculate and welcoming with a large selection of great froyo(though not the greatest, whose crown IMO is held by Yogurtland) and toppings. Indoor seating(but geez, it’s cold inside) and outdoor seating at inviting little bistro tables. If I lived in Lafayette, this place would be calling my name all summer long. What’s that? Oh, I think it just called yours.
