Looking for a place to grab a bite and Siri found this place. Unilocal reviews looked interesting so we tried it. Very good Siri! The first good sign was a packed parking lot. This is a down home country cooking buffet and it is the best I have had in a while. Meatloaf, chicken, chicken livers, mac and cheese, green beans, rutabagas, rolls, banana pudding, peach cobbler and much much more. Everything we sampled was good. Food is kept fresh and piping hot. Nothing looked like it had been setting a while Don’t miss the name sake fried green tomatoes! Good sweet tea too! Friendly wait staff completes the service. Great food at a great price. We will definitely go back!

Let me start off this review with stating the price for the buffet, which was $ 8.00 per person for supper!
The food was ok, the place was a bit of a mess and the service was decent. It was basically a roller-​coaster ride for me. A little good — a little not so good — a little good. How can I decide on my stars?
A buffet is a bit tricky really — the thought of so many hands, bodies and open mouths all over the exposed food on the buffet, the food in the buffet looking old and picked over and then the row of partially filled pitchers of drinks left out in the open for the sneezes and coughs kinda made me a bit ill feeling. But add to it the amount of food pieces on the floor and the basic lack of cleanliness and before I knew it — I was done eating.
You can’t beat the price and our waitress was friendly — though the only time she came over to see if we needed more drinks — we were done and ready to leave.

Pretty good country cookin’ food. Fried chicken, okra, collard greens, corn bread, bbq pulled pork, peas, limas, dessert, salad bar, and etc.

I was surprised how good the food was. The place is in a dead strip mall and the cashier was kinda rude. However most everything was homemade, the meatloaf and green fried tomatoes were great. The best thing is it was only 7.50 per person with drink. Everything seemed clean and had a nice selection.

We have visited them several times now when visiting relatives and they are always packed. We know why — great food & service at a price that can’t be beat. I wish they had a location in Atlanta closer to home!

I have never had a bad meal here. The cost is $ 7.50 for an adult and that includes your drink. The fried chicken is GREAT and the corn bread is good as well. Everything that I have tried has been hot and cooked properly.
