Dr. Stout has been my primary care physician for a decade or longer, and other family members had/have used him for even longer than I have. I could not ask for a better physician. He is very interested in what is going on with his patients, and will stay in the exam room with you for as long as necessary to discuss any issues you may have. When my grandmother was ill and dying, we spoke on a regular basis so he could stay updated on what was going on with her at another hospital out of town. If he knows you have a medical issue that he is not handling, he will have someone from his office call to check on you. Such a wonderful doctor! I do wish that he still came to the hospital to see his patients, but general care at the hospital has been taken over almost completely by hospitalists. Also, he doesn’t like to prescribe anti-nausea medications, which is my biggest problem with him. I’m a nurse, I know my body, and I know what I need. It’s not like I’ll be popping Zofran like it’s candy.
