Best in NY, better than or as good in the best of NYC. Sad it closed.

This place is by far our«go to.» I drive 30 minutes just to go here, that’s just how good it is! We have been here a bunch of times and it is consistently amazing!!! The brick oven neopolitan pizza puts nyc to shame. The goat cheese salad is fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. Oh and did I mention the calamari is to die for??? By far the most tender I’ve ever had and never greasy. They know what they are doing here!!! You won’t be disappointed!!! My fav place for sure!

This is the best Pizza in Dutchess County. The utilize a wood burning oven that creates the perfect pizza(Patrick, the chef, helps too) Super friendly, family business. Highly recommended!

Very good quality food for a pizza place. A little higher cost than the average pizza place but it’s not the average place. Try the Margherita pizza, you’ll love it. Brick Oven pizza, it’s the best.

Best Neopolitan style pizza in my area. Thin crust, fresh ingredients and a real brick oven that cooks a perfect pizza. Will be back often.

Highly recommend this resturant for authentic italian food. The pizza is the closest we have had since being in italy. The best ever fried calamarie! Cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is decorated as if your in Italy. Going to Amedeo’s is like being in Italy.

I remember when Amedeo’s was in the Freedom Plains Business Center right next to McDonalds — it was a frequent stop when I was a senior at Arlington High School for lunch. Solid(but not great) slices at excellent prices. It was a typical«hole in the wall» pizza parlor complete with the old Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. Amedeo’s has changed their focus since then — they now specialize in more authentic, higher quality ingredient Italian pies as opposed to New York-style slices. I think the change was a great move. It is very expensive pizza — almost $ 20 for a pie with toppings. But I think it’s worth every penny. The pies they produce are simply magnificent; the sauce is balanced, the cheese has that right mixture of greasiness and stringiness, and the crust is baked perfectly to my taste — crispy but nowhere near burned. They currently carry my «best pie» title, and every time I am back in the area to visit my folks, I stop here. I have yet to be disappointed.

This place is great! I loved the atmosphere — the lighting could have been a little dimmer, but the open kitchen is wonderful to see. My boyfriend loves their pizza and this was my first visit, I must say I was impressed. It really hits the spot if you have a craving.

This place is outrageously priced. 2 house salads and a margherita pizza came to $ 31! Did I mention that the pizza was personal sized? And the salads were $ 9.50EACH and only made up of mixed greens, a few grape tomatoes, and dressing. Not okay. I will give them that the pizza was very good, but I won’t be going back anytime soon with those prices. Maybe they should think back to the days when they were a small pizza shop(that delivered! so sad to find out they don’t anymore) with reasonable prices. I’d love to know if business is better or worse since they moved into their fancy trattoria. Sorry Amedeo’s, you used to be a staple for me as a life-long LaGrange resident but this last trip left me super disappointed.

Always great food. Love the brick oven pizzas and calzones. My wife and daughter can’t get enough of the Pasta E Eeci soup. Staff is always a lot of fun too! Pat and Olga always the gracious hosts.

Amedeo’s is a pizzeria and advertises itself as such, so I’m not going to take off any points for décor… but it does lack in that in area. It’s a pizzeria/café atmosphere, not a plush restaurant… just know that going in and you could not possibly be disappointed. The food is outstanding. Often wood fired pizza lacks the gooey goodness you are really looking for – the crust is too thin and the toppings are skimpy. Not here. It’s the best wood fired pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is thick enough to have both the crunchy bottom as well as some chewy dough. The toppings are high quality and plentiful. The salad we had was excellent and full of creamy goat cheese, which was perfect with the excellent italian bread and olive oil they put on the table. Wine list is limited, but they have made great decisions on their selections and there is something for everyone. One other note-if you are a Nutella lover you must get the chocolate hazelnut calzone – one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, and an excellent idea. The staff was friendly and helpful with selections. We can’t wait to go back.

I love this place… It’s my favorite pizza in Dutchess County! It’s great for take-out of course, but I love eating in even more. I never really noticed the high prices, but then again I don’t mind paying a little extra for amazing pizza. You get what you pay for, right?

While the food is indeed a little pricy and menu is limited, the food is top notch. I highly recommend stopping in.

I feel the need to revise up to four stars. Why? Well, the jones for some really good pizza struck last night… and Amedeo’s just doesn’t disappoint, ever, when that particular craving strikes. And, contrary to my last statement wherein I claimed we’d «never» do take out from them again… that proved to be an untrue statement. Is $ 17 for a large pie with two toppings a little more than I’d like to spend for a take-out pizza? Sure. But this is the good stuff, man. A couple of extra bucks, OK. You win. I capitulate. I will pay a little more for access to your fineries, Amedeo’s.

We have found the pizza to be consistently good, although it is a bit pricey. The crusts and topping are nicely done, whether you opt for the wood-fired versions or the classic types. The«restaurant» ambiance could use a little work, as it still feels like a pizzeria I would take my girl’s soccer team to, instead of a night out.

Something the HV really needed… a great pizza with atmosphere and great wine! I’ve lived in the area all my life and it took me a year to realize they had moved to a new building and redesigned themselves. A friend mentioned now I’m hooked(unfortunate for my waist line)! Calamari is fantastic and the wood oven pies are killer.
