Have lived in the area for 40+ years, always wanted to try Kelly’s. I finally talked my husband into going, despite his own experience saying he swore he’d never go back. Went in was seated by a kind gentleman and our waitress came over took our drink order we were served our drinks and waited 20 mins… Finally got up my husband left and I went to OUR waitress and the gentleman and said we’ve been waiting 20 mins and no one came to take our order… OUR waitress said Oh where are you sitting? I said in the back and you are our waitress!!! How’s that for service. Needless to say… we won’t be going back.

Well I’m about as picky of a eater as they come, I like a well seasoned steak … Which I can never find, and I like my food sides to have flavor also. I had the Louisiana strip steak with roasted potatoes. By far within the top 10… Maybe top 5 steaks I’ve ever had eating out!!! Service was pretty good also. I highly recommend it!!!

Sweet gal behind the bar and the horse radish burger was pretty tasty! Cooked to perfection. Love finding these little hole in the wall local joints when I travel. I would definitely come back

Kelly’s has good steak, pork chops, sandwiches, and other dinner choices. On our latest excursion the food was excellent and the chef came put to inquire about our satisfaction with our meals. The waitstaff is attentive and professional even if you have to wait a little for menus when seated. It is a lovely place for a good steak/chop dinner.

I went here with my boyfriend for burgers and it was a fairly good experience. The host was a friendly older man, and the restaurant itself seemed to have a more mature vibe – we were probably half the age of most of the other patrons there, and the décor is this weird Old Hollywood/log cabin mash-up.(The booths are gorgeous, aside from the lacquer on our table being very uneven.) The wait times were just long enough to notice, but not enough to really upset – my boyfriend asked for water and I’m pretty sure the waitress forgot him for a while. Service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t stunning, either. I had a cheeseburger and he had a Kelly Deluxe, with fried calamari as an appetizer. Oh, glorious squid! The calamari was delicious, the breading beautifully spiced, the squid tender without being chewy… As close as this place is, I’d probably go just for drinks and the calamari like every day if my diet allowed. Both burgers arrived cooked to request, on a nice roll. They weren’t super amazing, but very good for the price, and definitely not fast food burgers. I subbed a salad for the fries or onion rings, and the balsamic was decent, as were the fries I stole from boyfriend’s plate. We ate for about thirty five bucks, and I wouldn’t be opposed to going back the next time I have a hamburger craving.

Dogfish ale… yippee! Good burger, perfectly cooked. Good chicken fingers and French dip. Service was quick and food came out in good time. A little dark inside, but overall a good stop for food.

We ate there for the first(and last) Time last night. The prices are very high, which wouldn’t be bad except the food is really bad. Upon telling the waitress that this was our first time this there, she made sure to make a point of the fact that it was a steakhouse and that they cut their own steaks. If that’s the case, they should stop cutting their own steaks. They were very thick and very tough. We had ribeyes and neither of us were impressed. The meat was very bland. asked for mine Yo be cooked rare, which it was. However, it was also very dry. How is rare steak dry? My wife had chicken marsala. It was unimpressive, basically consisting of chunks of chicken over tiny bit of linguine. To their credit, the waitress was courteous, the service was good, the tossed salad and French onion soup was good as well. However, if you go there, I would suggest sticking to beer and burgers. $ 71 later we were not happy.

Kelly’s is local to me, so we have been here often enough. That being said, I wouldn’t say their fare is compelling enough to make it a regular visit(which is too bad, I’m still yearning for a local ‘go to’ joint). Good enough, reasonable, and perfectly serviceable. I do wish they had a better beer selection. Decent enough burgers, although the steak sandwiches and au jus are what I’d recommend. Full disclosure — I don’t think I’ve ever ordered an actual steak at Kelly’s — whenever we’ve been, I gravitate to the sandwich board. If that unfairly skews my review, all apologies.

If zero stars were an option I would have given it zero. When we arrived we were not greeted and just kind of stood in the doorway waiting for someone. Older gentleman finally seats us. No menus. The waitress comes over five minutes later and drops the menus on our table without a word. No drink orders or even water yet. Ten minutes later she comes for our order and takes our drink order with our food order. My steak was med/rare and it was chewy. Lots of fat. We ordered a second drink by flagging her down. They never arrived. Needless to say. The four of us will never return.
